My partner would like me to make a batch of cranberry sauce while cranberries are still in season, but he's the only one that likes it - is it suitable to freeze homemade cranberry sauce so it doesn't get wasted?0

Basically I made some bolognese sauce last night and was planning to use the rest tomorrow so covered it in film and put it in the fridge. Thing is, plans have changed and we're now not going to be here to eat it so I was wondering if it's still OK to freeze even though I made it yesterday? Opinions? Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

In a word, yes
Longer explanation - I always make more than I will eat, cool it overnight and freeze it the next day - been doing this for years with no ill effects."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -

Only the same as buying a ready meal or something to heat up ( I don't buy these but just for the ease of explanation!), and then freezing it when you're home.
That most likely wasn't made the day before and you'd come to no harm.0 -
No problem in freezing it. I do it all the time even after a couple of days, it doesn't always go in the same day as freezingCredit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Hi
Yes this will be fine to freeze.
If you think about it when you freeze something it is held at whatever point it goes into the freezer at in terms of freshness until you defrost it to use.
As you were going to eat it tomorrow from the fridge it will actually go into the freezer in a fresher state than it would have been when you were originally goung to eat it.
