Hi is it ok to freeze clover, utterly butterly etc, I have lots of coupons, but only have a small fridge. Thankyou0
-
butter marg etc are all fine to freeze0

I regularly freeze butter as thats all that i eat, recently the marj was on offer and DH prefers this so i bought 8 and froze them.
They all turned out fine but i defrosted them slowly in the fridge, not sure how thawing them out at room temperature would affect them so yes - fine just thaw in the fridge.
HTH

only problem with defrosting is if the butter is wrapped in paper it can go a little soggy so make sure items are on a grid, eg cake cooler or washing up rack so the the moisture can drain away0

Thanks for the quick response, I will stock up while I have coupons thanks.0

Haha - i was wondering this myself the other day! Bought a load of Lurpak on offer (it is SOO pricey!!) and now i have 2 tubs of the stuff which is use by the end of October..... if i freeze it and then just defrost in fridge how long is it then okay to use for???Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0

Just use it at your normal rate and ignore the date on it.
As long as its kept in the fridge it will be fine until its gone.

I'm making bean stew and in order to get a variety of beans, I've opened tins of kidney beans, haricot beans and chickpeas. I didn't need all of the beans for the stew so to save me from eating beans for the rest of the week (I won't waste them!!) I was wondering if I can freeze them?0
