Hi Yorkshirelass,
Fish works in the same way as meat. If it's been frozen raw then it's fine to defrost cook and re-freeze (once). I often do this when making fish pie.

Thanks to everyone for the advice about my fish! I did a bit of research and decided it would be fine so I cut it into pieces, dipped it in egg and breadcrumbs then baked it. It has now gone back in the freezer and I am sure once reheated thoroughly it will do as a supper for someone!0

Can I freeze tinned mushroom slices and if I can should I drain them first ?.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

if you have some mushrooms slices left over - then I would put in a container of water and keep them in fridge for a couple of days until I could use them.
I havent attempted to freeze them errata, I usually use the tin full. but dont see why you couldnt.0 -
Hi errata
I'm not a fan of mushrooms but I would hazard a guess you could freeze them no problem. I would freeze without liquid. Why not freeze a couple of slices tonight and then take them out tomorrow and see what they're fit for?
let us know how you get on:)
I'll merge this with freezing quick questions later
thanks

Right - I'm going to freeze them drained and see what happens. If they're rubbish I've only lost 22p and if they're ok I'll have saved 22p. Very MSE :rotfl:.................

You could be even more daring and carrry out a controlled experiment ! Half drained half not - then you can only waste 11p hopefully !:rotfl: Or of course both may be fine......! xA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
