Do you remember what ID you needed to take in with you?

I'm sure there was a link on the Lloyds TSB website, but I cannot find it.

I gave them my old-style (non-photo) driving licence, and they also wanted a current bank statement, including the sheet with transactions on, plus our council tax bill.

Just take whatever you have got, in the way of passport, utility bills etc.

Don't forget to take your NI number, and if you are transferring money in from another ISA you will need full details of that.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

I opened my FRISA last month, in the middle of transferring in other ISA's, however I have one that has a notice period on it until June, they have received my transfer application and instructions to hold it until June which they agreed to, but have just received an email from them saying Lloyds TSB have advised them their fixed rate ISA is only available until May.

I have emailed back asking for the exact wording from Lloyds, and also have just rung Lloyds ISa team, the guy there thought there was a cut off date for transferring in but went away to check and came back with 'I am getting conflicting answers, and they now think there isn't a cut off point' ...so they couldn't confirm 100% either way, what a joke, suggest I read the T&Cs if nothing in there assume there isn't a cut off point, well have read them through and cannot find any reference to cut offs.

    UPDATE
My Building Society said they had a letter from Lloyds saying if they didn't get the transfer I would miss the May deadline, they must have assumed I was opening an account with this transfer, when in fact other transfers were taking place.

I rang this number 0800 015 0060 and spoke to a guy, seemed very helpful and told me there is no problem with transferring in at any time after the account is opened.

This number also had links to enquire about ISA transfers if over 30 days which may be helpful.

Also this number gives a recorded message telling you that you will not loose any interest in the transfer process as interest will be paid from the date on the cheque of your existing provider.

I'm panicing a bit now, reading that this ISA closes on Friday, if not sooner. I went in on Monday as a new Lloyds customer, and completed all the forms etc., but as I had already put my annual allocation into my NatWest ISA online on Sunday, I don't actually have any money in the Lloyds one yet. Having read further back that people report being told it takes five or six weeks to transfer it from other providers, does that mean I won't be eligible after all? As at today it is still showing in my NatWest online accounts.

Did mine on Monday too. They should have requested the transfer right away so can't refuse the loot when it arrives and they can't send it back. Would have a lot of peeved customers if they did. You'll be fine.

I was an existing customer as I already had the Regular Saver and the bank account that came with it so I phoned up the number rather than opened it in branch so dont know what ID you need. Sorry.

What details did you need available? I am also a customer, so I can be prepared.

I cant remember exactly but they asked the usual security details to pull up my details, then went through all the questions needed to open the ISA - NI number, addresses and approx amounts of previous ISAs to transfer in (if you are doing this). No hard sell of any other products and it was a friendly person on the end of the phone.

The ISA appeared on the online banking within a few hours with a zero balance. One transfer from Abbey is now there and the one from Egg is still outstanding (apparently they have a massive backlog).

I'm a cust but went to branch instead as didn't want to wait for their docs to arrive for me to sign. I'm also transferring my existing ISA. They needed photo ID - passport/driving license, existing ISA details (if u want to transfer) + estimate amount, NI no. + utility bill (cust service on phone says they need this but branch manager only look & didn't make a copy for file). I wrote a cheque to myself & he deposit it straight away. Within 10 mins, I saw a new a/c set up on the screen but he says it'll take 3-5 work days for the cheque to clear. I didn't even have appointment & whole process took approx 15mins.

I don't have any photo ID, and they were fine with three different items including bank statement, which seems to carry the most weight. Just mentioning this as people might think they are stuffed if they don't have any photo ID, but it is not essential.

It is all given on this link which was posted above on post # 575. http://www.lloydstsb.com/stand_alone/proof_id.asp
