I'm having a bit of a poop atm with transfering my current ISA's with lloyds, not their fault I assuem, egg closed my account last week and am still waiting for the money to show in my lloyds ISA and A&L still haven't started any form of transfer after 3 weeks, so I have ~3100 in limbo somewhere and ~6500 still waiting in A&L so I won't get the 6.5% anytime soon it appears :(

I got a statement from Barclays this morning saying my Tax Beater ISA was closed on 3rd April (last thursday).

Anyone have any experience of how long it will be before the money appears in my Lloyds ISA account?

I rang lloyds this morning asking, the lady at the other end said instanlty that I should get in touch with the other banks to see what's happening as lloyds are just waiting for cash, they way she jumped to an answer leads me to beleive a lot of people are contacting them with such queries, needless to say, she said the transfer should be done by wire and takes 4 days, even she calculated it as that I should have credit in my ISA on the friday just gone, but still there's nothing.
  • Can I just ask if I transfer my isa from Halifax will the whole amount plus interest be transferred or will they just transfer the £3000?
Also is Lloyds a bank in trouble or likely to be in trouble?

Just incase anyone is waiting to open a Lloyds Isa or transfer in.
I have been in my local branch today to transfer my 3 old Isas and been told that the offer is now ending THIS saturday 12th April.
It was supposed to last until 31st May but it has now changed.
So hurry up and don't think you have another month to get it done.

Have I spooned this up or am I fine? I had just under 6500 in NS&I, and filled the transfer forms in last week. I asked them to transfer 9k on the basis that I would top it up today before the transfer happened.

Anyway, I did my mental arithmetic wrong and ended up with 8991. Minimum extra is 250, so I couldn't add the extra 9. Anyway, I went into my branch (who knew I was adding money today so were waiting to post the forms) and asked them to change it from a 9k transfer to a 'whole of balance transfer', then added another 250 to take it up to 9241.

Am I messed up now, or do we think it'll work OK?!
Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!
  • Can I check what people have had in the way of correspondence from opening their FRISAs so far? I wasn't a customer before I opened the ISA. I applied on 10th Mar and so far I've had:
    • a paying in book with 'account in the name of' 'my name, Mini Cash ISA'.
    • a letter dated 2 Apr thanking me for opening 'Lloyds TSB Cash ISA' and saying they have contacted me existing provider for the transfer. This letter does not contain any account number, sort code etc. or the date the account was opened.
    Have people had anything else?

I'd like to know what the opening date of my ISA was so I know when the 1 year fix (and presumably good interest rate!) ends so was wondering if anyone had received a letter stating this, or is it just the date you apply?

I've just phoned them up to check that I have got a FRISA instead of normal ISA since nothing I received so far has the word FIXED on it and was told I do. He couldn't tell the date the account was opened though :s

Opened mine in person on Friday, was given a copy of the application form listing an account number and sort code (also new to Lloyd). Early days for me though....

Like a few others, I have £6000+ with NS & I and planned to transfer the whole to LLoydsTSB ISA with another £3000 for this year's allowance to get the 6.5%, BUT... Won't the wait for the completed transfer ( and presumably no interest earned during that period) mean that I gain nothing? Would a BACS transfer be quicker and what would that cost? Any help will be gratefully received .
