  • Actually, that is a good point. When all else fails, write a full descriptive letter directly to the CEO and list down every point of contact and who you had contact with. Usually, you'll get some result.

I had a problem with NCP car park and I tried to resolve it through their customer service, but got no where for 6 months. I then wrote directly to the CEO who forwarded my complaint to their Director of Customer Services or something and they immediately took action.

It was a letter though, not just an email.

Letters emailed are just as effective as letters posted from experience, Financial organisations have to answer complaints by post though.

    Hello

Do you only get 6.5% on the balance that exceeds £9K i.e. if you have £9500 you get a lower rate on the first £9K and the 6.5% on the other £500?

I am an existing LTSB customer, just opened one today, It was a breeze and took about 10 minutes, the guy on the phone was extremely helpful and a really painless experience.

It's hard to follow this thread with all the bickering going on (!) But I've grasped the general idea that the LTSB ISA is not a good idea and need to apply for one this week - I saw an advert for the Alliance & Leicester ISA for 10% - I almost don't dare ask what people think about that ?!

IIRC it is related to stocks and shares, not a good idea.

On the 26th Febuary I requested a transfer of my ISA from the Halifax to LTSB. One week later the wife transfered from Intelligent Finance to Alliance and Leicester. Both have said they have transfered the money to LTSB and the Alliance but still neither show up in the repective accounts. (By the way the 10% is only if you agree to hold ISA shares of the same value as the cash ISA)
