I'm an existing Lloyds customer. Transfered from a Lloyds Mini Cash ISA to a new Lloyds Fixed Rate ISA. Opened the Fixed Rate account on 21 February and saw the balance in the new Fixed rate ISA on 14 March. Also received a letter on 15th saying added interest to cover the transfer period had been added.
Amazing!!!!:T only 23 days to move the money in the same bank from one account to another. This must be definite for the Guiness book!!!:rotfl:0 -
Opened my account on 4 Feb transferring my old isa from Kent RBS. Received letter from Kent RBS dated 29 Feb confirming that money had been transferred to LTSB. Sent out complaint letter on 11 Mar and a phone call on 12 Mar. No reply. Called again today, talking to them after half an hour. Just asked them to confirm if they received the money. So simple question. They couldn't confirm, but called me back in an hour, another half an hour on the phone. Was told that "government sets the rules that they are entitled to take 5 weeks after receiving the money to set up the account". Called Financial Ombudsman, was told that they didn't realise that there was such rule, and guessed must be internal rules. I asked if any way to check it up, the guy was not very helpful, told me that they were not the one setting up the rules for the cash ISA. And told me that he could not help me. But he did say if during the transfer I lost any day of interest. I could lodge a complaint to them, then they would check it up. I did ask if he didn't know what the rules is, how could he deal with the complaint. He started losing patient, and said he could not do anything untill things happen.0

Whilst there's always an obvious MSE reason to always go for the top paying account, I've come to the conclusion that it's a lot better for my stress levels and time taken to go for the SECOND best deal, that everyone else isn't chasing...Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0

Opened one of these today transferring money from two different providers. The staff told me they are being swamped for this ISA so if you are thinking of getting one then perhaps you should get a move on. I simply walked into a branch and did opened it - no appointment. This is not financial nor legal nor property advice. Consult a paid professional if in doubt.0

Uh huh, that's what I did - three weeks ago and although they have given me an account number, I have not heard anything else. Nothing from the current provider either.
I have made an appointment with the branch for this Saturday to "have words"....0 -

Please let us know, seems like I applied same time as you.
Also any success stories ? Anyone got their Lloyds ISA and transfers done ? If so who were you with and how long did it take from day of opening til money appearing in Lloyds ?0 -
I walked into a branch to open mine last monday. I got a paying in book in the post today (monday) so guess the account's been opened but no other details through yet.
Might use the account number from the book to write to Abbey to try and speed up the transfer!Chris0 -

Paying in book for an ISA ? Sounds like a current account to me, could be wrong though0 -

That's what I though but in the 'account in the name of ' box its got my name and underneath it 'Mini Cash ISA'. I wasn't an existing customer and as far as I know they didn't open any other accounts at the time. I'm not sure if I should be worried it doesn't mention fixed rate though!Chris0 -

On my online banking it says clearly "Fixed Rate ISA" and I haven't had a book. So maybe popping into your branch would be a good idea.0
