Having received my Login details from Lloyds for my FRISA, I logged in to find that after two weeks, my ISA from the Kent Building Society had still not been received
. I shall be on the telephone tomorrow to find out why!

Three weeks since I received the letter from Kent RBS told me that the money been sent to LTSB. No sign of money in my account yet. Already lodged 2 complaints to LTSB. No reply so far. My third complaint will be going end of next week. :mad:0 -

Two weeks since you applied ?
It can take up to 30 days and as it's March/April now (as in end of tax year) every transfer will be stretched to the maximum 30 days as thousands and thousands of people are probably moving around.
I'm in the same boat 2 weeks and waiting.0 -
Regarding getting interest refunded for the transfer time - is this something offered by Lloyds TSB or the banks you transfer from? Is it automatic or do you need to request it in some way?0

Banks dont pay well enough. The OP said the guy who served him/her wasnt a financial advisor. Most bank cashiers, etc are straight from school or 6th form college, living at home with their parents, no money of their own to invest, no knowledge of the big wide world. All the older experienced cashiers, etc leave becaused the pay is low and they are made to sell, sell, sell. Banks dont pay well enough to bring in any brains at the branch levels
No offence meant to the minoirty of skilled and valued bankers out there.0 -

Couldn't agree more, the other day had to stop a colleague who was telling a lady to withdraw from her ISA when she had another instant access account.
Tried to explain to her (my colleague) about ISAs she answers (imagine the stupidest and most irritating voice ever): Oh reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyy??
Girl has worked there for 2 years now, god how thick can some people be0 -
So why do Abbey employ such people?
Or is it a lack of proper training?Imprudent granting of credit is bound to prove just as ruinous to a bank as to any other merchant.

I have just telephoned the Kent Building Society and been told that they have to transfer the ISA within 30 days and they are exercising that right! Nothing I can do about it but it is annoying:mad:To Dare is To Do:beer:0 -
Can you withdraw cash from this ISA at all during the year? If so, what is the penalty? This is not financial nor legal nor property advice. Consult a paid professional if in doubt.0
