Dead easy...you just apply in any Nationwide branch for the ISA cash bond..it will probably take Lloyds about 2 weeks just to ask for the transfer then another 2/3 weeks for Nationwide to hand over the dosh... so plenty of time to contact and cancel the transfer with Lloyds or Nationwide.

So its not a big problem cancelling then?0

I have 2 years worth of ISAs (6k) in NS&I
I'd always assumed the government would be the most consistent place to keep the money, if not always the top rate.
I am tempted by the TSB offer, and the Icelandic bank one. But am I worried that once I've transfered out, I will never be able to transfer back in.
Any thoughts?

Why would you want back in ?

I mean if the rate of NS&I improves - I'd always perceived it as one of the most secure places to have your money!0

You dont have to have a Flexi-Account to have a Fixed Rate ISA.
U may be getting confused with this which does require a Flexi-Account :

So what exactly does this mean....you have to transfer all your ISAs when opening the account and none later or are they saying you have to complete an ISA transfer as part of your application..and can make further transfers later as this is only referring to opening of the account not what you can do later?
Well further to the above I contacted my local LloydsTSB branch yesterday regarding transferring additional ISA's to my FRISA account and was told it is possible and the guy is posting me two Transfer forms for me to fill in and post back to them for onward transmission to my two old existing ISA providers.0 -
I said I'd update here when my other two isa's arrived.
One took 6 days, the other took 13 days. Again, letter received shortly after confirming interest payable for the 'transit' period - days correct, rate correct and amount correct. So, very impressed.0
