I'm new to this, please bear with me.

In debt with CCs. Need approx 20,000. Have cut down on everything, i.e. gas/electricity, food etc, so please dont ask for SOA. Cards all used up to limit, paying approx 400 per month on cards alone - minimum payments.

Really need a solution how to clear this debt. Cant sleep at nights. Feel sick all the time. Spoke to CCCs last week. Helpful, but dont want credit rating to get any worse than it already is. Whats the quickest way to start the ball rolling.

Please tell me what to do.
    Thanks for your time.

Hi Sporter, welcome to dfw. the best advice I can give is to follow the tips on here from other dfw's and to snowball. (that's where you pay off thge highest interest debts before the others so you become debt free quicker - check out whatsthecost.com)

Please don't ever feel alone in this, there is a comunity of people in the same boat as yourself right here.xxxxxx

  • Sporter, I am sorry you are so down. Please post again, it is NEVER as bad as you think. There is a way round most things, bet things aren't as bad as you think. Bad maybe but definitely not that bad!!!!!!My lightbulb moment was less than 2 weeks ago. I have managed hopefully to arrange lower interest rates (on some) , cut back big time on our spending and raise a couple of hundred on ebay. Its still really scary and I keep running back to this board to hear other people in the same position - to see how they are coping and to feel less lonely.
Good luck and please talk to someone here or in real life.

Yeah, it bothers me when I see thread titles mentioning the word suicide. I hope this chap is ok.
