I've just worked out what it would cost you on Scottish Power "Pay In Advance" tariff.
Not sure what pay in advance means but it saves 5% and it works out at £1018.58 or £85/month. I'll check a couple of others to see if it's the best.
It might be better if you put your own readings on here because we had a colder winter this time so using those may be better.
Forgot to say that you also save by having both fuels with them.
Forget that. Just found out you have to pay a lump sum up front.
Will now try something else.

Scottish Power Premier Plus works out at £1072.43 and Ebico at £1100.62.
But Uswitch tells me that nPower are the cheapest using a Newton Abbot postcode and your figures at around £9700 -
Thank you so much djohn for going to all that trouble for me:o it really is a minefield trying to find the best deal
I think they make it so complicated deliberately for some obscure reason. I will get together the figures I have written down for the past year, as you say, it was a lot colder so probably I will have used quite a bit more. Thank you again

Before I can work out the gas consumption, I need to know if you have a Metric or Imperial gas meter. Here's a clip from my post on the first page of this thread.
To tell if your meter is imperial or metric. If it has dials it's imperial. If anywhere on the face it says Cubic Feet or Feet with a small 3 near the top of the t, again it's imperial. If it says Cubic Metres or M with a little 3 near the top it's metric. (I don't know how to write cubic metres on here).0 -
Hello Djohn, The gas meter is Metric, sorry for not stating that.

Djohn Thank you very much for all your work. I will wait until I get my Staywarm renewal to see exactly just how much they are going to increase my bill. That will be in October. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0
