Blimey, what's been going on here then?
Saw the title of deal, thought i would have a look to see if the offer is still on, only to find 10 pages of gobble de gook!
Can anyone please confirm the offer still on?
Many Thanks0 -
In the middle of all this someone posted that offer finishes 10th Feb..0

It's very cheap and that's a fact - and if you have very little money, it's a tad irritating to be to be talked down to by people who can afford to buy organic, free range products when you can't.
However, I can afford to buy organic free range and I have to say that a lot of these look and taste too similar to the £1.99 birds.
The last roast chicken that I remember being truly delicious was bought while on holiday in France.
It was bought in a supermarket, (with head still attached - the wife had to deal with that!), and you could tell the thing had been running around by its bone structure - a leg was a real leg!
The taste was sublime and we just cooked it as we would have done in England. Even our children tucked in and they usually turn their noses up at the English variety.
So, I'd be a little wary of anyone feeling superior just because you can afford to snub cheap, factory-farmed food.
Your expensive, "organic, free range" varieties are not always a better alternative in this country IMHO. If only the French did home delivery!0 -

Agreed, same applies to chicken bought in Spain, and eggs, they all have far better taste than the ones bought here.0 -
 That's because the French and the Spanish let their farmers get on with the job of farming without poking their noses in!0

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: While it’s easy to wander off-topic that often prevents newbies finding the information they want quickly and easily (please see this rule). Please keep this thread on topic. If you’d like to discuss non-MoneySaving related topics please continue your discussion in The MoneySavers Arms or Discussion Time. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.
BG NOTE:
For the above reason, I'm locking this thread.
The finer points of animal welfare I feel are more appropriate in the Arms or DT. The rest of the discussion is a bit of a distraction from the original Grabbit.
If you have any questions about this, please contact: abuse@moneysavingexpert.com0
