In the day that a creature decides that humans are good to eat and puts us all in a cage and makes us have kids in big scale so that they can eat cheaper, you'll change your opinion. If it was with humans, your opinion would be much different. That's what I call being selfish.

Dammit, you've nailed me with that well thought out point.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Quotes in context only please.
• tr3mor - thanks for the original chickenout website link but it took me ages to find details on there of what the different quality assurance labels mean (maybe it was just me).

For those who are interested, here's the direct link to the comparison table for the different logos and what they mean: Red Tractor, RSPCA Freedom Foods, Freerange etc. I was surprised that Red Tractor doesn't mean much at all - bit of a marketing con (?)

That is what I call illogical, you are no doubt still going to be eating chicken, otherwise you wouldn't be in this thread would you?
• There appears to be quite a lot of Povvy Chavvy Fwits in this thread. They don't appear to understand the concept..that if you don't buy it, the supermarkets won't sell it. Useless brainless idiots.

Free range eggs used to be in the minority and expensive, now they're only a fraction more expensive and in the majority. Stop spending your giros on mcdonalds, fags and cheap cider, and feed your families some decent food.

At least read the thread properly before coming up with theories. I want the supermarkets to sell it which is why I buy it.

Free range eggs are quite a bit more expensive, I suppose you could say they are a 'fraction' more expensive but you can say that about anything as any number can be written as a fraction, I take it that's what you are meaning?

Sainsbury's Large Woodland Free Range Eggs (12) = £1.92

That's actually cheaper for free range ...idiot!

The free range eggs are on special offer and are normally £2.89 (which is more expensive).

You might also want to learn how to make your links work. Or did you do that on purpose, hoping that no-one would check?

I didn't realise the comparison was being made between free range and barn eggs, thats because it wasn't but you have made it to be because it suited your argument at this time.

I suppose anything can be skewed to support your own arguments, http://www.sainsburys.com/groceries/frameset/navigation_frame.jsp
15 eggs for £1.25.

I can debate without resorting to childish name calling so will not be retaliating to you on that front, I will stick to the topic.

Even if it was 50p more expensive, that is good value for a food product which has been looked after considerably better. I will not support cruel practises and if 50p is all it takes to get a better product, then I am delighted to pay it.
