Well, one year on and another pancake session over :D

Former d9yo (now d10yo) is an expert at beating batter - has his wrist action just right.

Former d10yo (now d11yo) has mastered the art of tossing but just needs to be careful as he still has a corner fold in his.

The lads have tonight declared me "The Perfect !!!!!! 2006" (I think I pleased  )

We simply had freshly squeezed lime and a sprinkle of sugar on ours and they were

Did you involve your dk's (those who have them) or did you rope in your partner/spouse to do your tossing for you?

  • I've just made a batch - 8 on the plate and the 9th funny shaped one with the scrapings of the bowl in my tummy with some Golden syrup! (Chef's treat!!)

We're having beef sausages with either saute potatoes and mushrooms done in cream, or beef sausages with the mushrooms in cream in pancakes.

If we have any for pudding it will be with either lemon and sugar, golden syrup or icecream - there's enough for the two of us to have each topping!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha - I've just finished tossing my pancakes. I invested in a new frying pan this year so it was so much easier but DS2 (3yo) and next door's 9yo 'helped' make the batter - a few lumps but I've left them at the bottom of the bowl :)

Had some scicilian lemon juice (best ever, I'm told and can concure  ) and sugar on mine - kids had maple syrup, golden syrup, treacle, sugar and lemon on theirs (not all at the same time!!)

    ladygrey - I'll be round in a mo :D

(altho Mr TM works with........erm .... :rotfl:)

Sorry if you've already covered this - I didn't read every post on here, but... can you freeze uncooked pancake mix?

I was thinking of making extra and using it for yorkshire puddings sometime.

Cooked pancakes freeze really well btw- just put a sheet of greasproof in between to stop them sticking.

yes you can, best way is in little silver foil containers, then you can pop straight in the oven from frozen.
