He was soooo thrilled with himself :D

My 10yo is far more adventurous and thoroughly enjoyed beating the eggs and making the batter. But my d9yo was terrified of tossing *his* pancake :( Hehehe, he soon got the hang of it.

To my shame .. it was *me* who dropped the pancake - thank goodness my cat was on hand to lick up the mess!

Hands up who has the youngest pancake !!!!!!? (I'm convinced he's a late developer! I learned when I was 7yo.

Yup, tossing is the more risky of the two, but, his little wristies were more able to cope with tossing rather than the finesse of flipping :D

when we took out two young grandsons camping last year I let them make pancakes as a treat. We were working outside on a camping stove and both tossed their pancakes with great skill, then the 11 year old managed to let his drop on the grass. "throw it in the bin" I said, but he washed it in the fire bucket and put it back in the pan to warm up, and ate it. He is still here though so no harm done :D
