  • We are a family of 5 - I have been using Tesco simply because of the bonus points for tesco.com (ie 1000 or 500) but prefer Morrisons for their abundance of multibuys etc. If the points are no longer forthcoming I will be going to Morrisons in future myself.

please can you tell me how to get these codes and how to use them. thank you

There is another thread where MSE users post codes they get -
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=92862&page=43&pp=10

When you do an online shop just put the code into the box just before paying and you'll get the discount or points for the code youve put in.
  • I have just tried to use a points code that was sent to me in the Healthy Living magazine with my name on it, it was refused? this is ridiculous, I only use Tesco because of the points, I have cancelled my order and will be going to Asda until Tesco get themselves sorted out.

Just got a reply from cs

Further to your enquiry. I have looked into this issue for you and the reason the ecoupon was not accepted is that Sparkling Perry is not classed as a Wine but a Cider. It is made from Pears and not Grapes.

What a load of cxxp!!! The points took onscreen and on my email. Really annoyed as I would not have made the order if it wasn't for the points.
Sent a reply back telling them that their order system is misleading, will see what they say, not holding out much hope though!!!

    kels

Jings Guess i will need to reject the perry that i ordered,
Anyway just got shopping order and used a 500 points code . on the shopping it came up as £5.00 off but got order and the points were used , so suppose i'm happy at something
  • Hi just wondered if anyone has a code for 1000 points on a £75 shop. All the ones i had are not working.

    Thanks

I think the same has happened with the codes being posted on the Net and they’ve been getting stick from the companies they are associated with.

Would it be that their partners are getting plenty of business but no money changing hands! After all what are Tesco giving away with points, nothing! There’re just points that cost them nothing and they get lots of money from you the punter! QUOTE]

Actually, I beleive that issuing codes does cost Tesco money. If you read the back of the reward vouchers, they tell the supplier to send an invoice to Tesco for the value of the token. No doubt they don't pay full price, but they do pay something.
The question is, is the amount they lose from us not shopping online more or less than the cost to them of the vouchers?
Only Tesco know the answer, and my guess is that once they notice a lot of people deserting their online shopping then codes will start to re-appear.
  • Not sure if you all maybe already no this but I did not. You can apply for the Marriot rewards program and link it so you actually collect tesco clubcard points, for each marriot reward point you get you get from 2 - 4 tescoclubcard points. They also have the marriot rewards visa card, it has a introductory offer of 5000 Marriot rewards visa points and you earn on all sales 1 point per £1 spend, you earn more if you spend with marriot. However before you get too exited you do need 10000 marriot visa rewards points too transfere to clubcard and the rate is 10000 = 1500 tesco points so not as good as tescos own 1 point per £2 spend. But better than nothing when your tesco card is maxed out. They use Halifax credit card services and gave me a £20000 limit :T tesco gave me £4000  Check it out at http://marriott.co.uk/Channels/globalSites/rewards/default.mi?country=UK&WT_Ref=mi_header

So if I'm reading this right 5000 introductory offer = £75 cc points = £300 deal time vouchers? If so it sounds brill! :T

I have orderd 6 bottles of cava to come on sunday with a 1000 extra points code but getting cold feet now that it wasn't accepted on the perry, only ordered because i wanted points what do you think?
  • I took it to be £30 in deals if 10000 marriot points is 1500 clubcard points (£15- £60 in deals) then 5000 is half that??????????
