Tesco grocery online codes - discussion thread

I think Tesco will be shooting themselves in the foot if they stop the codes. I have an order to do but no decent codes so I really can't be bothered although I have to shop. For the sake of saving a few pounds I'll be better off going to Asda and saving money on the shopping instead.

I used to use Sainsurys a lot way back when they were giving the vouchers out, I stopped when they changed to Nectar as it is a pretty lame rewards scheme just for shopping. I used to do about £300 a month using the vouchers with Tesco and over Xmas it was more like £700 with electrical and the like, I wonder how many other people will stop using them for online shopping. You know what happened to Sainsbury when they stopped their decent rewards scheme. Oh well, we have enough points for another 5 day EuroDisney trip if need be, Florida will have to wait!! A holiday is a holiday.

I agree completely. I work for Sainsburys and even though I get a staff discount I won't shop anywhere but Tescos - We've had two holidays and I am currently saving for another. However, if they start getting funny about the codes I may vote with my feet.

I know someone was told by CS that some codes would never show on your online balance but would be added to the February vouchers, so I am going to wait and see but I'm not very hopeful

Another thing, if you go to book a delivery with Tesco now there are LOADS of spare slots, usually there would only be a few this time in the week. For Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday deliveries from Bishops Stortford store all slots are available except 2 - which to me speak volumes, it is obviously already putting people off shopping online. I have been putting things in and out of the basket for about a 10 days now waiting for the better codes and I would not bother but I do have two birthday parties to organise so think I have no choice else I would do it elsewhere. Sadly we do not live near a supermarket but needs must and all that.

I was trying to order Avis vouchers online and it worked for that one, also Goldsmiths worked as well. Maybe they are not all available yet but if you look at the deal there is a box on the right hand side that has add and remove buttons and you use these to put in how many vouchers you want. It is the large red and blue box and I've just tried and it also works for Hilton Hotels.

Just received my wine delivery and once again after having it accpeted on screen my 1000 points have not been accepted on delivry docket.

Not a lot to learn at the moment as Tesco seem to have removed all of the decent codes. :wall:
