  • Just talked to a really sh*tty CSA, about my online order I made yesterday.
I was in the middle of my order (about £40 at the time), when my sis-in-law arrived to take me shopping. So I paid for the order to keep my delivery slot, and thought I'd add to it later in the day when we came home.
    Simple!
    NO, not quite.
I adjusted the order as planned, late last night. When the confirmation was emailed back, the amendments, including the turkey, said zero in the quantity box and zero in the total box. Also in my haste to keep the booked slot, I'd not put the discount code in and it seems it doesn't allow it once you've paid.
I rang this morning and this truly awful guy couldn't have been more stroppy.
I asked him if indeed the added goods were in fact coming in the order, as common sense tells me that they may not. He said he doesn't know (and words to the effect he doesn't care). I then asked about using the code, explaining everything above about having to cut the order short then coming back to it.
He said I'd have to cancel the order, which I would normally do, but in this case can't because its for Friday. So he just says "well its your own fault, what are you telling me for!"............hohoho merry Christmas 'eh?
I said I thought he was Tesco 'customer service'. I'm fuming about it. Rang head office and they don't work on a Sunday, so have to wait till morning now.
I still don't know if I'll be getting almost all my Christams food stuff, till it gets here. I booked an 8 - 10 o/c night delivery as well.
I really hope head office can sort it out, otherwise I'll be out on the worse shopping day of the year................Christmas eve!!

  • Some CSA's are fine, but some should be shot.
Wifey phoned up one night to query something on the order, got asked for name and postcode, asked to repeat, and was told"No nothings coming up here"and bang, down went the phone.Phoned back and the second CSA was helpfullness itself.
So if you get a snotty one,put the phone down on them and redial, you should get someone better.
Shouldnt be a lottery like that of course, but it seeems to be Tesco all over.

I had a similar problem last week and also with my christmas delivery order, basically I made a small order to save the delivery date (not so lucky, or quick, I have Wednesday!! so I will still have to shop for fresh food, mind you, I dont trust Tescos with that you tend to get goods that are only just within their shelf date!!)

When I went back to add items and indeed the ecode, I found I couldn't. I spoke to a very helpful person who said he could add it on manually. I did ring within 10 mins of the delivery though!!

I'll try the same on Wednesday!!

Only a week to go, cant wait to see my kids faces!! Thanks to this site and all the great ops, I have some great bargains, which means they get what they want and more!!!!!!! :xmastree:

Whenever I receive fresh food with a shelf life shorter than 3 days I email tesco.com and ask for a refund, as I do my shopping for the week not just a few days. They always refund me and send me an e-voucher for at least £10 off my next shop. :xmassign:

    have a dilemma.
I reserved my online delivery for Xmas with just a pint of milk. have now gone in and completed order in full (£140) but it will not allow me to "checkout" twice.
This means I can't add my e-voucher which I got from here for 1000 points.
When I emailed them , they said I cannot add vouchers once the order has been submitted!
(which is utter cr*p cos when they've cocked up themselves before they will add vouchers retrospectively)
Anyway, i am quite happy to ring and argue the toss but am am a bit twitchy as to how I came about the voucher. The code was XX-DYCH and it doesn't say on the site where it came from.
Am really miffed with tesco about this but can't cancel and reoder as I would normally do as there is no way I would get the slot again.
Anyone got any suggestions or will I just have to let it go?

    Hi there,

I've had this a fair few times, admittidly more when a voucher hasn't been accepted after a shop has been delivered, but it amounts to the same argument. I just tell them something really vague, like I think I got it from one of their magazines which I've now thrown away, or it was an email offer that I banked the code on then deleted. They can't really argue the toss on it unless they are going to call you a liar so it's always worth a go.

    Hope this helps :rudolf:

  • Does anyone know the cut off date for the February mailing? I'm 'owed' 4,700 points at the moment from various codes etc and every time I email them (and have phoned also), I keep getting the bog standard - 'we've been aware of a problem with codes, but they will be added on the February mailing'. One of them is from the end of October - I'm keeping all my emails with the details on in case they don't materialise, but I would really like the points on the February mailing so I can go with my other points and get my MFI furniture!

Keren29 - The cut-off date will be towards the end of January so yu should see them appear around then. Don't worry though, end of Oct is nothing compared to how long I've had to wait in the past! It all depends on when the valid till date is on the voucher, irrespective of when you used it.
