Tesco grocery online codes - discussion thread

I booked a couple of delivery slots for the xmas period (cos there were hardly any left) I did this by putting a couple of things in my basket and then going through checkout. But now when I go in to amend the order it doesn't let me go to the coupons bit so I can't add new codes (okay, I know I can start yet another order for this) but I can't see if it has added any of my codes. Any ideas - or do I have to cancel and start again, hoping I can get a delivery slot?
Cheers guys"There's hard work. And there's not so hard work. I prefer not so hard work. But if you mix not so hard work with hard work it's harder than the not so hard work but not so hard as the hard work."

If you cancel your christmas order - you may run the risk of the booking slots being filled up and you wont be able to get a christmas delivery. I booked my christmas shop exactly 3 weeks before the 22nd and yes i ran the risk of not having any good codes inputted, but it was worth it for me not to go shopping over the christmas period. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. As I put in an earlier post you don't have to go without a code just to secure a christmas delivery. Just fill your basket up with anything at all add the code put it through checkout then change the contents of the basket to what you really want at a later date before delivery when it suits youThanx

I always do as Lady K suggests. I put a few big items in to get my total up to whatever is required to get the code to work, and input the code there and then. Then, closer to the delivery day I change the order to what I actually want (remembering what the total spend was to qualify for the code!)
If you want your shopping I wouldn't risk cancelling your order at this stage in case someone else comes along and snaps up your delivery time. If you are determined though, open up two windows, and as you cancel your current order, book the slot for your new order straight away (but on your own head be it!)

Re the two cases of perry. The deal as I read it was that you got the 1000 points for 1 case of Champagne or 2 cases of wine. I think perry isnt classed as champagne!
Having said that I found that 1 case of 24 san miguel lagers got the 1000 points - though, my tesco rang and said they didnt have any left in stock - baa! So lost that £40 worth of deals.0
