Tesco grocery online codes - discussion thread

Hi
Just placed my first on-line order with Tesco - made some great savings thanks to this site. Can anyone tell me how soon your new points are added to your card after the order has gone through - just checked an hour after the order how many clubcard points I have but it is not showing the new ones from this order??

If you've used an extra point voucher these points won't be added until the voucher has expired. Otherwise the points total from your shopping is normally updated in a couple of days.

Is there a way to see clubcard points broken down like you get on a bank statement (dates and money in) so i can clearly see if a 1000 points or 500 points etc... coupen was added on such date? on tesco's site it just brings up your total?

No, there's no breakdown of points anywhere, but they do have that information available on the clubcard helpline, so if you get a helpful operator they will have a look for you. Its a freephone number too.

I ordered some wine online in June using a voucher code which Tesco sent me to get 1000 clubcard points
As the points didn't appear in my July statement I phoned their helpline who said they had been having problems and not to worry because it would appear in my next staement
Statement arrived today, and quelle surprise, no points added
Phoned helpline again, who transferred me to someone who spent ages telling me that I shouldn't have been transferred there (like I'm interested!), then transferred to another 'push button one, two or three' system to get through to give my details for the third time....only to be told the voucher code had not been entered - I so don't think so, and there was nothing they could do- well something I can do is ceremoniously burn my clubcard and never shop at Tesco again - Morrisons here I come!!!
Amazing they didn't tell me this when I phoned in July and would have still had the code to hand

If you log into the site and go to MY ACCOUNT you'll be able to see your wine order under MY EXTRA ORDERS. It won't have the code number that you used but it will tell you if a code was used - here is my breakdown for an order I placed back in September:

Sub-total of all items: £9.58
Delivery charge: £2.74
[Total promotions discount: - £0.01]

The -0.01 is what shows up when a promotional extra points code has been used.

Does anyone know how to get an extra 150 tesco points every time u shop (£1.00 min spend)?!
Somebody on ebay is selling info on how to do this! Could be interesting!!
