  • Just a quick update.

I am now 11 days late if I am estimating a 30 day cycle. I have taken three tests in total. One on the day I was due, one last wednesday and one on Sunday. They all were negative.

I tried convincing myself that the last one (which was a more expensive Clearblue one) had a very faint line, and bf agreed, but it was really faint, so maybe I was making it up. bf said that he could also see a really faint blue circle all round the edge, so thought that the really faint line didn't matter.

But anyways, I'm going to take one last one first thing tomorrow and see what it says. All the symptoms I had last week (feeling sick, tiredness, metallic taste) all seem to have gone, so think I was just making them up. Sob.

<hugs> It's not that you were making them up - they did exist. However, I know I occasionally get a metallic taste which I assume is hormonal, but I cannot be pg!

Mind you, I do have slightly sore boobs...

Nah, stop it woman! My bf wants to cart me off to the docs for not having AF, but I don't think it's time for that yet. I've been on the pill since we got together at 18, so neither of us really know much about what's supposed to happen when you come off it.

I think it can take a few months after coming off the pill for your cycle to settle down.

I'd like to start trying when Im 28, just have to get a house first!

DS1 was once a very faint spot on a pg test so faint I held it up to the window to see for sure he is now a hyper 5yr old.

Hopefully thats it and you have done it but keep us all posted have been following the thread since it started and will look out for you tomorrow.

    Good Luck xx

  • Remember, a pregnancy test will tell you with 99.9% accuracy if you are pregnant.

    They don't seem
at all reliable in telling you that you are not pregnant in my experience.

They are testing for pregnancy hormones. A 'negative' test shows that not enough of the required hormone is present yet.

I even had some light bleeding at the time my period was due even though I was pregnant with DS1 and still not showing up on the pregnancy tests. I definitely felt pregnant which was why I was doing the tests. DS1 was born 40 weeks later. :D

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

i've a 15 month old and am 7 weeks pregnant with no 2 and i've only ever had really faint lines on all 8 tests with the 1st baby and 4 with this new one! (cost me a fortune!)
ps the metalic taste is the extra iron in your body caused by creating blood for baby. i was really ill last time for 5 months, this time no sickness at all! yeah so don't take 'symptoms' as gospel

    Thanks a lot guys!

I keep flitting between thinking I am pregnant to thinking I'm not and back again! Can't stop myself!

I felt "pregnant" last week, but now I don't, and I don't know what that's about.

I shall update tomorrow when I do yet another test! Gona do it first thing in the morning when the levels of hormone are supposed to be highest!
