LG woooohooooooo welcome home to your Dad, fingers crossed everything goes well from now for him, my very best wishes.
Moggins I think you have done well too! Grandson, oh yes, how old is Jon Daniel? I think he was called now? Must be about 8 or 9 months old now is he? Husky too, wow, brave, I'd love one but a friend breeds them and describes them as 'like toddlers but worse' :rotfl:
Michelle, well done with the mortgage repayments, especially when it's been over the tighter times aswell when you were on maternity leave!
Thanks aswell to everyone for your good wishes and asking how the study is going, it's not exactly going great as I would like to be a little further on than I am and maybe feel I am understanding it better, but getting there I think with the work/life/play balance. Have now got getting the DW emptied while making breakfast sorted, fitting the dogs stuff in is still a bit hit and missforgot to feed them until late yesterday, night time routines are saving my sanity, banning myself from the internet for blocks of time because I am useless at self motivation is helping. Learning from mistakes aswell like planning to do more than I can actually fit in in a day then getting angry when it's not done, staying up way too late to do more then can't study because I am yawning!!
Tracy, pleased he apologised, I can understand he's stressed out, but maybe you could suggest another 'outlet' for his stress, my partner is the same as like many of us when we are upset we take it out on those close to us first but now I tell him to go out/go in his garage/do something away from us when he's in a grumpy mood. He says some awful things aswell when he 'fires off' which he somehow thinks won't hurt us/me afterwards but they stick in our heads, I think many men are similar as I hear friends say the same thing a lot aswell. Don't let him get get away with using you to take his stresses out on.
DP has bought a euromillions ticket, I asked him, he hasn't much of a clue about how the lottery works either, says he just goes for lucky dip things? because it's easier. The last time I put the lottery on was about 3 months or so after it started, probably saved myself a fortune in loosing tickets.
Reading done, spent most of the time telling DS1 to slow down because he thinks reading is something he has to race through. Dishwasher and washer filled then started. Boys are being 'yoyos' tonight, so have decided to record all the soaps and watch them once they settle so watching Market Kitchen instead, pure me indulgence as DP doesn't like watching foodie programmes. Will hang washing out soon then start my programmes once I stop hearing footsteps. One day I might be more organised...........

Glad things are a bit better today Tracy - you have done the right thing saying you won't take it! It's hard work having kids - especially if there was just the 2 of you for such a long time (did you say 10 years?) it does make other things like work etc seem harder because of the balance but why do men think it's harder for them - we are the ones with the complete life change!???
Michelle - thanks for asking about LO's ears, they are still weepy and haven't cleared up properly but reluctant to take more antibiotics and the docs don't seem keen to refer him so just going to see how he goes - he isn't in pain with them - just sometimes they seem to annoy him. Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow - we don't seem to get many days out as OH works all week and I work Saturdays and then Sunday we are always too tired or doing jobs in the house -need to make a effort to go out more as a family though.
Hope you all have a lovely evening and good luck to those who bought tickets - not us - I didn't realise until too late!0 -

Hello everyone
I think a few ((((hugs)))) are needed.
Likklegibbon - lovely news about your dad.
I've been working from home today, still trying to sort out the e-portfolio problem (everything I enter overwrites everything entered previously). Finally, today our IT passed it on to the programme developers and I had a phone call from them. They're going to connect remotely on Monday afternoon when I get back from Cardiff. I've only been asking since end of October, so when they do fix it I'll have to do all the work since then!!!
Not much done today. Had to take DS to doctor at 11.00. He's got pharyngitis and his asthma's kickstarted again.
Then he had his first appointment at the pain clinic at the hospital this afternoon at 4. Lovely doctor, different tablets, pacing, structuring his day and getting her physio to try acupuncture. Just got to wait for an appointment for that now.Flipping Friday!!Those frightening kids rooms and spare roomsLevel One

Thanks for all the kind wishes and Pollybear - sorry to confuse you with Poohbear.
I feel much better this evening. Kids are watching the ice truckers program - they love that sort of thing and I guess it is educational.
The both came home with great grades today A* in Geography for DS1 and 100% in a maths test for DS2 - he is amazing at maths (has been since he was four), all just natural ability. I wonder if they stretch him enough as he says he is bored and it is too easy but he is top of the top ability set. He understands it is hard for the teacher to give separate work and doesn't mess around just gets sent on errands etc.
Can't be bothered with PTA accounts tonight. I think I might get my own quidco account as OH has trouble with his trackingThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Thank you so much to everyone!!! I was feeling really alone and then read all your message and it really felt like some people understood thanks xxx Told DH if he was so ill he should see the Dr, which he did, nothing wrong the Dr can find but could be developing Coeliac disease - !!!!!!?!?!?!?!?! Anyway, the cold shoulder has well and truely been delivered this morning and he did apologise, he knows it not true but doesn't know why he said it. We have a long chat today, things aren't great and I don't think they will be for a while but hopefully we'll get there. Hes really stressed about his job at the min, no excuse, when the recession coming gets in full swing he'll have to let people go which he can't handle.
Anyway, things will be like this a long while but I've been firm and told him its over unless we have changes. Sh*t.
BTDT... Last easter to be honest.
My hubby is worried about finishing people as well as they have just about finished 3 big big contracts and have only a few little bits coming in.. thanks to the lottery money all going to the olympic building thing noone else has any spare cash.. least of all the churches.
Last easter mine left me saying I'd be seeing someone else... I know, I know.. time constraints can be worked around apparently.. like ANYONE would want me with 8 children... but anyway... our 'issues' were worked over.. he lost weight.. for him, not me, I would never dream of telling anyone to get thin, least of all him. He shouted at the children less, though I am starting to notice a drastic increase in that again which I am trying to stomp on NOW. If I wanted someone for their money I could have done a damn lot better than I did.. he is penniless.. oh.. I spent it all already?? He was earning £140 a week when we got married.. come ON!!!
I'd love to know where they get these ludicous ideas from.. they are just stupid all of them.. they think cos their brains are in their pants 99.9% of the time ours are too.. and our hugest problem stems from me hating 'bedroom behaviour' .. I REALLY can't be faffed.. I swear our children were conceived
almost as miracles.. the only contact sport I do is elbowing him and telling him to get off lol. The hardest thing for me was him saying he was disappointed with DS2 who has learning difficulties.. that killed me... he is my baby, I don't care if he is purple, covered in spikes and incontinent.. obviously men see their sons differently.. it will be a very long time before I forgive that one. He did say he didn't 'mean it like that'.. but he said it like that.
I do hope you can sort things out, it is REALLY hard. It takes a lot of time and a lot of talking.. but I do hope you can do it.
NOW.. I am going for a wee and half hour in bed before I get a shower to go out..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Likklegibbon - fantastic news about your dad...I was so excited when you said he was on his way home. Hugs to you both.
Lil-me - i'd agree with the offloading. I have some clients who come to talk everything through and they really benefit from it. I guess it's what suits the individual. At least you can offload on here dusty. Please tell us how it goes.
Pigpen - i'm going to say this quickly and then run away - "i'm not going to look at the weekend list, nah nah nah!" Runs away as fast as possible.....am I safe yet?0
