Galantvr4 - found it. It was just trying to hide from me!

Diary sounds like a good idea. I've got two Filofaxes - a large one for work, and a small personal one, and a calendar, but the best thing is a white board with the days of the week on, but several weeks worth. Just put the date at the start of the week and you can put appointments on. I always put my locations for work, because I move around a lot, my son always knows where I should be on which day - Health & Safety! But anything that helps us get organised - I'm up for it, which is why I love this thread. Anyway, like you I'm off to bed. Night night all, God bless and sleep well x

tracyg - your not the only one hun. I didnt get much flying done today unfortunately. hubby has been off sick all week and i had both the kids off for 3 days the previous week so really havent gotten much done in the last 2 weeks and its exploded all over the place! hubby got on his high horse about it and said that he won't help unless i show i'm making an effort - rushing round like a loony after him and the kids isnt making any effort at all apparently. so he thought he would be smart and make me a rota - he didnt even look at the flying list i have printed out. so i got smart back at him and have made him a list of things i want him to do. sick of asking him to do stuff that i cant (my back and hip are really bad at this time of the year) so have made a list and am sticking it to the fridge.

anyhow - am off to MY bed - he can sleep where he is tonight - i cant be bothered with him just now. am tempted to get DD1 in the bed with me just for badness. am off shopping tomorrow - i have the biggest urge to fill the spaces in my cupboards since i rearranged them and chucked all the out of date stuff out. and i need to get some meat for the freezer. so going to be really busy tomorrow but will definitely be on here at some point.

Pink Fairy - I havent been to camp for my mail yet but will hopefully get in on monday or tuesday (he is back to work tuesday so if I dont make it in then he will get the mail for me!) but will post yours on monday cos I am at the other camp (just up the road) and they have a post office there!

Night all, sweet dreams and take care and will speak to you in the morning

Because you lot are sensible, I want your opinions

If someone who was now 'attatched' wanted to meet up with you that you haddn't seen since he dropped you off wearing his clothes (which you ended up keeping) but you were great friends before that, what would you do?

Taking on a husky may have been a bit fool hardy but my darling Shadow is well worth every bit of trouble and he loves his mummy to bits, even after the worst day of work I know there is always someone who loves me regardless and wants nothing more than a bowl of food and a cuddle on the sofa :rotfl:

Oooh my poochy is called Shadow too!! Time for piccys! :D

mumofjusttwo - re the Lent thing, I have never managed to stay with anything for the 40 days, so when to end has never been an issue!!! This time I am doing 39 days as I started a day late. Don't know when that runs to.

I think it finishes on Easter Sunday, but as I've taken up yoga & meditation instead of giving something up, I'm hoping to carry it on past this date :D (going well so far, really enjoying it!)

    Morning All

It must be the time for arguments with DHs! I told mine he needed to sort himself out yesterday morning - he said he was leaving, I said fine - he hasn't though. It all stems from DD being mouthy. He asks him to do something, she says no and they end up screaming at one another - DD then comes running to me and DH says I don't back him up. When I say to him stop losing your rag with her and you might get more response, he says I'm not having a six year old speak to me like that! I wonder where she's picked that up from!

Anyway, that sounds like I'm having a rant as well!

Hoping to get back on top of things this coming week seeing as it's half term. Although, so far, Monday I 'm going to my mate's house and then I'm leaving DD there while I take DS for his jabs. Last time he had his jabs was in the school hols as well so I took DD with me and she was absolutely distraught. DS had got over it within 5 mins - he cried at the time but he was fine after. DD cried for ages - why had the nurses done that to him - why had they hurt him - she was upset for hours and went on about it for about 2 weeks. So I daren't take her with me this time! Then on Wednesday, I'm looking after my mate's twins for the day while she goes to work (they're 3) so I can pretty much guarantee the house will get trashed!

Not feeling quite myself today, started with a cough and I've got a bit of a temperature so I hope I'm not going to be ill over HT. Was hoping to go out today - was thinking about going to Chester Zoo with the free child places' vouchers off the cereal - might see how I feel later though.

Michelle - glad to see that you should have less of a workload when you go back after HT

Jill - I could do with giving up snacks really - I did really well before Christmas but since Christmas I've been rubbish! Thanks for the pm by the way.

Pigpen - how did you get hubby to stop shouting at the kids?

Likklegibbon - glad to see your dad's out of hospital and on the mend.

    Tracy - hugs

Moggins - hi - I'm struggling to do everything I want to since I started to work full-time.

    Raphael - lovely dog

Can't remember what else I was going to say.

    Have a good day everyone

    Hugs to anyone I've missed

    Morning all,

Looks like a nice morning out there - already have some bedding in the washing machine which will go on the line as soon as it's finished. I've managed to solve the problem of the 'thanks' button - I've installed Firefox and if I use that rather than IE, it's all fine so expect a lot of thanks from me again :D

sorry to read about your argument with DH Julie, and if you're feverish, then take a couple of paracetemol, some fruit juice and rest up!

Well, I was supposed to be working from home today. Up bright and early and attempted to log onto the system I'm supposed to working on and it's not there! It's a tad too early to phone up the person who'll know what's going on, so I guess I can potter about a bit and phone him later.

So, looking at Pigpen's weekend list, let's see what's relevant:

    WEEKEND Frolics

    • Extra 30 minutes ironing.. school uniforms? work clothes? I need to do more than 30 minutes!
    • Change any bedding you didn't get chance to do over the week! In hand
    • Meal plan for the next week and make a shopping list... based on what you found in the freezer and those things that need using from weekly cupboard sweep I don't meal plan, but I do do a shopping list and will do a stock take on my freezer contents list
    • spend at least an hour with your family... playing, reading or just watching a dvd and having a hug! This is unlikely to happen as my family are grown up and do their own thang
    • Work yourself to level 3 in your messiest room!! (I'm going to regret this one!!) This has to be the front room!
    • [STRIKE]Bake a cake for after dinner.. it only takes 5 minutes.. come on![/STRIKE]! We must be the only family who don't do sweet stuff!
    • [STRIKE]Touch up the paintwork in one room!!![/STRIKE] I'm willfully ignoring this one!
    • Fill a binbag of things to get rid of.. charity/bin etc This will happen when I do the front room
    • 15 minutes hotspots clearing
    • Clear out your handbag and coat pockets and update your finances.. if needed of course!
    Others:
    • Phone up about the disappearing system and if it's found, work on it
    • Hairdresser 11am (I'm fortunate in that I have one that does house visits!
    • Tesco shopping
    • Bread maker
    • Find holiday cottage to book
    • Put more maps on ebay

I'm not neccessarily the most sensible one to answer but I'm older and have plenty of 'previous' shall we say.. I'd want to know a)why b)no really, why c) how much will it unsettle things.. That's just me though.

Going to have a quick tidy up before I get myself ready. I might just get some washing on the line,it's like a spring day here :T
Yes, I'll give the babykins some squishy hugs by proxy from you Lil_me! Haven't made my mind up if I'm staying over or not so I may or may not be back on here today.
Hope all the domestics sort themselves out this weekend, don't seethe in silence if they don't.

  • Morning :D

A beautiful day here. WM on with bedding, load from last night also ready to go on the line.

Weather checked and it is supposed to be sunny and 12 degrees today, so we will make our way to the farm for it opening at 10:30. They have some newborn pigs, lambs, and a llama, so we are really looking forward to it.

We have all woken up refreshed and raring to go, and i am sure it is because i know it is HT.

lil-me i have an old friend like that who has just got back in touch with me on facebook. To be honest, i have avoided meeting him because who knows what is still there, and with hormones allover the shop, it isn't worth what could happen. He's the type who would cause trouble for me though for fun, and then go back to his life when done. It depends on your own will power i think hun,

Hope you all have peaceful weekends and there are no more rows with dratted husbands. I must be in the minority here, because we never really row. I can't deal with that much turmoil, plus with how busy we are it does not leave much time for rows.

    Michelle, x

Well that was a heartstopping moment! Doorbell rings, and there's a policeman standing there. Doesn't your mind just go through all sorts? Are the kids alright - who's died etc. etc.

Fortunately, he was just trying to find out who a particular car parked in the street belongs to so it was nothing personal.

But my heart still thumping a bit!!!

Think I'll get a calming cup of tea...

  • Morning - had intended to have a lie in but after a week of 7am starts I was wide awake

Rang Dad last night - he was watching Peter Kay, he'd seen my niece who just sat next to him stroking his arm and grinning, had scarfed poached eggs on toast that he'd been craving after weeks of hospital food and was just contemplating who he could send to the shop this morning to get the Sporting Life..............much better than in a crappy hospital ward. Thanks again for all of the well wishes ladies.

tracy - (((hugs))) *sigh* men - can't live with em, can't shoot em

michelle - well done on mortgage repay and enjoy your days off

lil_me - keep plodding away with the studying. I'm giving my OU Spanish course a miss this year cause will have too much on to give it reasonable attention but will jump back in next Feb.
.......and re: your former "friend" - depends what your feelings towards him are - for example would you still feel comfortable meeting with him if you thought your OH could see you. If not, I'd probably question my motives. (Learned this from experience of emailled banter then meeting up with old flame - didn't tell OH and nothing happened but still felt guilty)

Tori - hope that DSs oozy ear has dried up

Pink Fairy - IT depts and computers - don't you just love em rolleyes.gif. Hope migraine didn't set in for the night

ouch for DS, galant - has the bump gone down any? Plus yesterday was Chinese New Year so make some Chinese New Year's resolutions (they're the same as ours but with extra soy sauce laughing-smiley-014.gif

Mudbath - plant the idea, step back, watch it grow! In the mean time, have any of your family got space for a bit of sheep in their freezers - either that or have a winter sheep barbeque :D

JillD - you sound stressed hun - I sense a Mum's on strike coming on

There must be something in the water with all of these OHs having strops - I think its a tactic to reduce Valentine's spending - (((((hugs))))) to anyone with moody or unreasonable OHs at mo - mine excelled himself yesterday, in a nice way, cause he'd bought me my favourite lilies as a thank you for staying in and supervising all the building work - he's thoughtful sometimes

raph - lovely dobi - she looks a handful and I love her dying fly dance

Jue - were you feeling like poo before your argument? Remember your ME time hun

pigpen - haven't dared look at the list yet - I'm surprised that your OH would dare not to tow the line. Haven't checked the other threads yet - how much of DD1's bedroom did you chuck in the end?

Have a great day everyone x
    I'd rather be watching CSI!
