    WEEKEND Frolics
For those who have extra weekend time and can't function without tasks... lol If you don't have time or want to spend time with your family that is brilliant.. go for it. It is a list of 10 tasks to do over the weekend if you get chance.. no pressure at all.. just ideas and reminders and springy preparations!
This is also a chance to get hubby's and children involved in the flying ;)
    • Extra 30 minutes ironing.. school uniforms? work clothes? - will do
    • Change any bedding you didn't get chance to do over the week! - must do
    • Meal plan for the next week and make a shopping list... based on what you found in the freezer and those things that need using from weekly cupboard sweep - plan to do but wont
    • spend at least an hour with your family... playing, reading or just watching a dvd and having a hug! - must I?
    • Work yourself to level 3 in your messiest room!! (I'm going to regret this one!!) Kids room=eeekkkk!!!!
    • Bake a cake for after dinner.. it only takes 5 minutes.. come on!! - scones do?
    • Touch up the paintwork in one room!!! - should do
    • Fill a binbag of things to get rid of.. charity/bin etc - will do
    • 15 minutes hotspots clearing - always do
    • Clear out your handbag and coat pockets and update your finances.. if needed of course! don't need to do

JillD, your OH needs a kick up the bum! IS he actually working or is he sitting with MSN or something else up in another window? I know plenty of web designers and thats what they do.

Set him rules, he will not enter the room while your feeding the baby and if he does, he will settler her down, make a door hanger so he knows.

He will be firm the kids and say that daddy is putting them to bed, mummy will come in and give them a good night kiss after she has fed the baby but thats all.

Make him do the dishes or sort laundry or anything. I think what gets me the most is the resentment that builds up. He thinks he has this great excuse not to do anything at home 'He works and I don't'. He forgets how hard it is to look after kids all day AND keep a house tidy. I printed off lists of exactly what I have to do all day including every nappy change, spillage clean up, fight break up everything and asked if he could do it. Luckily fo rme, it did work out for a while that I was working and he was at home. He kept the house tidy yes, BUT, he spent all day at his mums, and she was looking after the kids, she also came up here and did the dishes, so in short, no he can't do it all.

Juliejim, my 6 year old son is exactly the same right now. A bloody teenager! Just got to grin and bear it and remember that we are the parents.

**see I can get dressed before lunch time** Just :p

Solway, it's scary how right you are, just trying to get him back out of my head now, it's flattering in a way, but also made me feel a little weird. Like I said the past is usually in the past for a reason, I don't want to ignore him because he was a really good friend from when we were about 13 really, and I regretted loosing touch with him (and why we lost touch) but if he's after something else I think I will have to. I just can't be having things messing with my head and my life, it's complicated enough :rotfl: I'm getting old and just don't have the energy to deal with men issues, I've been with the same bloke for over 10 years and I am happy (well ok most of the time), he just can't get his head round that bit.

Jill maybe we should just send Tia round to sort things out, in fact Tia you're kinda scary in a good way, maybe you could help a few of us who have the lazy ones!

Moggins, you go in jeans because you don't need to pretend you are something you are not, you're a lovely person and a great Mum, let them wear their suits for ballet, you can guess most will only get chance to wear one then, sorry just speaking from experience from when dropping off my friend's LO at ballet, some right stuck up mothers who have no right to be, ones who I know were super slappers at school, ones who might drive a posh car but you never see them spend cash, just plastic, know they have debts coming out of their ears.

Well I am joining Moggins, ok a little later as she's done hers, conservatory needs a serious dig out. It's a tip of not unpacked yet boxes, piles of files, wires, cables, oh you name it, and I've booked to get the suite in there cleanied this week so he'll need to be able to get to them (definately can't clean them :o at the mo as the stuff is on them) so that is my challenge for today I think. DP is out all day so won't be in my way, might see if the boys want to play outside once I have done the dog mess clearing, can see the whole garden from in here which is handy. It's so nice in here today it would have been lovely to sit here watching the boys play, so that's given me the kick I need to do it.

Now do I put a cake in (following Pigpen's orders and the fact I have a FULL 2 baking cupboards) before I get started?.....suppose it can be doing it's thing while I am clearing junk. Right time to put some of my music on in here, maybe Russel Watson or Enya, in a need to relax mood and that usually works.
One day I might be more organised...........

embb like I said I've been with the same man for 10 years, I wouldn't know where to start :rotfl: Don't think he thnks about how long it's been, the naughty girl in me went to sleep a long time ago and I really don't want to wake her up.....because she used to get me into all sorts of trouble :o . Anyone want a man in uniform going spare? That was the only bit that made my eyes even flicker, why do they get the uniform or the nice car/job when you loose touch? :rotfl: seen another x last week in a ferarri, drove a fiesta when we were together :( I can pass your details on because I don't need more hassle :rotfl:men are just hassle. Just hoping this one doesn't start phoning at 3am etc like last time.....DP not impressed!

Right, cake then conservatory, after coffee.......HHC anyone? Maybe 1.30 - 2pm....

Hi ladies it is another lovely sunny day.

Thanks again for all your hugs yesterday. I feel so much better today and do feel a bit of a weight is lifted off my shoulders. My sis is back from holiday (problem was with our Mum) and she has made me see sense.

Hugs to all those with men behaving badly - I love the conspiracy that it is to get out of valentines day. That won't happen here is it is my B'day so no excuses.

LG so pleased for your Dad and your family
soappie - hope your stomach is back where it should be

Going to try to repair OH office chair today and get him to get wash the patio and put some stuff in the loft.

Bedding on line line and another lot waiting to go out.

I know it is the weekend but I am going to do a HHC in DS1 bedrom from 13:15 if anybody wants to join me
