Hee Hee, DD has just moved into a rented place that used to be part of an old factory and look what I found on the bonfire pile. Everybody laughed at me and thought I was mad when I said I wanted it, but | knew my new friends would support me!!!!

And just so I dont get told off for going off on a tangent, here is a photo of a shabby chic clock:D I picked this up in a box of bibs and bobs, it was really sorry for itself.....I did pay £26 for it BUT before I hear the intake of breath there was another clock in there which I cleaned up and put back into the auction and got my money back....so a free clock;)
I had to repaint the surround and added the gold band, and then put in a digital clock mechanism. (this is what I do with my clocks as usually the insides have had it) It could do with a new dial, what do you chic-ers think?? I cant re-paint the glass at all as it would look odd and what could be mistaken for flying insects near the birds mouth are actually wear in the paint.:o

Hi Pennib, it is an old chair that is/was covered in the original vinyl type fabric, Someone on here inspired me when they did a fantastic job of painting and re-covering one. Hope DH can help me with photos when he comes in. I am such a technophobe

Well, that was going to be my next question. I have taken the vinyl off the seat. It took about an hour of prising out the rusty tacks with a screwdriver, Oh my nails are shredded lol!!! And when i peeled it off there is all this cotton wool type fluffy stuff over the top of the covered horsehair, iyswim. It would be better to show you. I was wondering if I could leave that as it seems in quite good nick, and just put the fabric over the top when I have painted it. I don't think I am capable of taking everything out and starting again as this is my very first attempt ever!!!!!
