Personally I would paint it though.
I think I will have to: I simply can't see how to lose the staple holes any other way. And it will look fab painted. What colour should I go for. Would the Dimity work, seeing I've a tub of that anyway? I'd prefer a cream, I think. Would a pic with a mocked up seat help?

Hi folks, have just been catching up. Have had a really bad weekend and not felt much like reading, but a bit happier today.0

About 7 or 8 weeks ago - I think they only had them at the big out of town store, not the smaller town centre one.
I wish I could afford to move to Hope in Derbyshire, just so that I could say 'I live in Hope'! :rotfl:
Allyrish, I love the picture of the orchids, I could just stare at a beautiful vase of flowers forever.0 -

You could try doing the dark wood filler first, then if that didn't work how about putting braid or trim to match the seat over the remaining staple marks? then if that's no good go for the paint!0 -
Had to give my painting of my plant trough a miss today..........opticians this morning to get my lens put back in and other bits of shopping (nothing exciting though) --got back and ex foster lad came up with his friend to do a bit in the garden.............planted a few things and he's coming again tomorrow (hopefully) to do a bit of weeding and general much needed tidying up so might get round to some more painting in the morning.
Not too sure about putting a lid on it now though.......I stood my floral shabby chic bag in it, nice toning scarf and floral umbrella and it looks ok.......plus the bit of wood OH got for me is a bit c**pMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
