Okey dokey, here's my finished bag courtesy of a Marks & Spencers curtain from my stash of fabrics. I went a tad overboard after raiding my bits and bobs tin and used part of a broken bracelet for the button and some tiny crystal beads for the rose centres.

I did have a few scary moments when making the bag, especially at the end when I had to pull it inside out. I was sure I had sewn it completely wrong and back to front, but VOILA, it was ok!!!

See I knew you could do it..... Well done it looks fantastic! :T :T :T

I usually make my strap longer so it goes over my head and hangs down one side of me..... means I can carry my bag without using hands lol :D IYKWIM

NEgirl - our own forum WOW, can't wait..... Our own rules....... I would love it for others to be able to advertise things that they have made/bought and are selling...... maybe some swaps...... ooh so many ideas :D:D:D

piratess - it would lend itself to being used for spices perfect !

Now I've got a problem..........well, not so much a problem really just a 'scratching my head  'and don't know sort of thing

Cleared out the corner where the plant trough was (collection of dads walking sticks -inside trough, brollies, wind chime ??? why I wonder?-dads drum sticks that Mum used for plant sticks so they're a bit rough to say the least,) Cleaned up the corner (won't mention cobwebs and muck-ooops I just did!) got out pot of stone colour paint to go over the white.........well it just looks white to me so its the same ! Now, do I paint it with a pot of light sage green like I did my cupboard ? The wall its going next to is terracotta.......other things in this room are a mixture of creams, terracotta, two bits of dark wood furniture, bed settee is terracotta and a sort of duck egg blue................large rug is same..............oh eck !! Don't want to buy any more paint really and got four match pots of the sage green............tis one of those rooms where most things seem to look ok but I painted my little bookshelves off white................so what colour do I do this blessed plant trough ???

Not all............there's also a small sort of 'stand' with one drawer in it -think I concocted it out of something and thats now a c**p colour but the paint I've got isn't looking right on that either,....................oh bum !!

LOL this made me laugh! I do exactly the same thing :p

If you like looking inside other ppls houses, have a look at this site, its ace!!

    http://www.locationworks.com/library/cat/19/11/s04-01.html

Its got lots of different houses across the UK, that are used in films/tv programmes

Some lovely homes there, don't like the "clinical" looking ones, can't understand how anyone would want that look. Give me cosy anytime.

But look at the back of the chair!!!!

Why would they have covered this up? I wonder if it's possible to cover the back, underneath, to show it off? What do you think? The yellow is the foam padding under the seat upholstery, which I haven't even begun to tackle yet.

You must be so glad you didn't get rid of it now! it will look lovely

Don't know if this applies to interior decor, but someone once told me that when putting together an outfit, don't use more than 3 colours or it will look too fussy. So, if you have cream, terracotta and duck egg/sage green ( similar palette? ) that will be your 3. I am sure it will all blend well.

maypole - thanks..................I;ve got these little pots sat there looking at me and I keep getting drawn to the Jade..............so maybe thats the colour to go for.:j
Just need to decide about the cupboard...........and more and more starting to think it should go...............it only gets filled up with 'stuff' and we forget whats in there. Think we only put it in here as a sort of bedside table if anyone stayed and used the bed settee but it really doesn't happen often enough to warrant keeping...............just hope OH agreed..............:j

Hi Mary thanks :) .. its 34cms high so not to big! but dont really have a space in the bathroom for it walls are funny in there .. the only thing i thought i could use it for would be for spices in the kitchen! .. My spice rack doesnt have any room left on it .. Or in our hallway for trinkets etc ..

other than tht im not sure
I think it would look gorgeous given the shabby treatment, and it would be quick as it's small.
