It would be a shame to cover up that back, ditto what vp said, a seat pad and loose cushion would be lovely. :)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

I bought a little sander and it has been great, but check whether you can get the removable sanding sheets easily as I now have to use the wrong size.

My sander cost £15 (well, £15 worth of nectar points in Argos) & I thought I had a bargain, but OH has since wasted £5 by buying the wrong size sheets and then losing the receipt, and we can't find the right sort locally. Also we can't couple it to our vacuum cleaner which you are supposed to do, so we get covered in dust - thank goodness I already had the face masks!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

i was thinking of getting one in tesco, but on saying that they do have a tendancy to stock things, and then stop, so you cant get any replacements etc...i got to go to b&q for more paint:rolleyes: so will have a look in there...and buy more sand sheets, so at least i ahve a stock of them...

last year we bought our boys a little tool kit each from maplins.. like the dremmel ones... with all little attchments etc... it has a little samding wheel on that, i did think of using it ;) , but it would only be any good for little jobs, or fiddley little places etc.... the kids would prob charge me for using it anyway:rolleyes:

Hi everyone - I don't post on here but I read every day and I love what you all do; you're a very talented lot. I found a book in a charity shop yesterday (for 50p!!) that I wanted to tell you all about because it's full of inspiration and made me think of you. It's called 'English Cottage Interiors' by Hugh Lander and Peter Rauter (ISBN 0-297-79655-0 in case you can order it from your local library). It's chock full of photos of the insides of the most beautiful cottages, listed county by county. If you get a chance to read it, you'll love it!

  • Isn't it great to see loads of new people posting comments AND photos!

Taking a break from making my shabby chic shoulder bag. (Is there such a thing as sewing rage? Phone ringing constantly, dogs needing pees, bobbin running out, thread getting jammed).
