I want to put some fabric on the inside on my glass wardrobe doors (currently has net) would you do it taught or gathered, I can't quite make up my mind what would look better and obviously it would take less fabric to go taught.....any suggestions? TIA
Not sure you got an answer on this? I'd go with the taught, to save on the fabric, and it would look very neat.

NEgirlie: I've just realized I missed the mannequin chat: are you a closet mannequin lover too? Gotta go back and hunt for a pic of your Next one now, as haven't got Pipkin's eagle eye. Aren't they fab?
Edited to say: found it, and left a comment. How fab it all looks. I can't find a corner of my home that looks that good.

I think our own forum is a brilliant idea. I've helped to set one up before and am still part of the moderator/admin of that forum. If I can be of any help, just ask.

Now I've read a bit more, I've realised that I've been a chic'er for years:p If I had a penny for every time me muvva had said "get a new one! what do you want that one for?" ..I would have the money to employ Cath Kidson[sp?] to do my stuff for me:rotfl:

For instance, the beloved wallpaper in the little loo had to go & was replaced with emulsioned walls. So I found a birthday card with a lavatorial theme & put it in an Ikea frame that I'd stained green to match the [30 y o:eek: ] white medicine cabinet that I'd sanded back to bare wood.

WOW! This is a first for me...I'm actually being trendy at the same time as the trend:rotfl: :rotfl:

icandream..thanks for seconding taste on the fabric/wallpaper... just hoping it will match/blend with the green i have painted my units...i think it will

to be honest i am starting to get a bit impatient now....lol...and want to order the wallpaper, and material, but it is a bit pricey, also i am trying to spend as little as poss sprucing the house up....plus try and recycle things by buying most things second hand or getting them for free....but it is suprising how all the little things add up.... paint brushes...paint etc....

Quick post, cos gotta rush out.
But look at the back of the chair!!!!

Why would they have covered this up? I wonder if it's possible to cover the back, underneath, to show it off? What do you think? The yellow is the foam padding under the seat upholstery, which I haven't even begun to tackle yet.

You might find that the back doesn't even need upholstering. You could do the seat pad and then make a cushion for the back.
