  • I just nipped over to the local hospice charity shop and came back with a real bargain.
This lovely mirror, didn't have a price on it, so the woman behind the till gave it to me for 50p!! Yes you have read that right 50p.

    Not the greatest photo granted.

It is in need of a good bit of vinegar and newspaper to clean it up, but I have popped it up on the wall just to see where I want it.
Please excuse the vile wallpaper, we are in rented and have no choice!
Oh yes it also had a small Selfridges stamp on the back of it, so that makes the 50p price tag even more shocking:eek:.
Anyone fancy buying my degree? It will only cost you £18k.

Hi, I'd like to use up some of my fabric collection and thought I'd make some bunting, would someone be kind enough to let me have some instructions? Do you use double thickness fabric for example? Thanks x

These are my boot sale bargains from Sunday. Above was a brand new pair of M&S fully lined chenile/tapestry style curtains and tie-backs. They were patio door sized, had M&S sale sticker of £80 on the pack and I was charged five pounds!! I'd wanted a pair of throws so yesterday afternoon I removed the header tape, re-stitched the seam and they're now on two armchairs!

This HUGE white ceramic salad bowl cost me 25p. It really is ginormous and will be great for barbies or family get-togethers. I collect white china, it's easy to find and I've picked up some super serving dishes etc.

The glass punch bowl set was on the same 25p stall, the seller was keen to get home!

These lined vintage curtains cost me £1. I love the design and will use the fabric to (hopefully) make tote bags.

    Cheap "art" suggestion.....

After I split from my ex I decided to make my bedroom all girly. As a cheap way to add some finishing touches I printed out some photos of flowers and other "purpley" pictures to go with the decor.

If you go to http://www.sxc.hu most of the photos are royalty free (avoid the premium ones at the bottom of each page) and there are so many to choose from. They are usually free for personal use. I printed them off on my printer at home and they came out really good.

Here are my pictures (excuse my blurry photography I just took them quickly now)! All the photos I printed out there were found on sxc (I think I probably searched for purple! ;)).

And of course, all the frames were bought in charity shops! :T

I hope this is of use.

These are beautiful - what a good idea
