Thankyou vintagepleasure yes we do go into Manchester quite regularly as ds lives there. Do you have to get to the boot sale very early or is it an all day one ? Thanks

    Evening everyone.

Haribo, those patchwork quilts are gorgeous. I wish I had an Aldi near me.

I'm not sure these qualify as shabby chic (more country craft), but I know quite a few of you like making things - and these are quite nice projects if you can get hold of some willow.
This week at Forest School we have been making willow creations with the kids.

On Monday we made willow platters (this is the one my son made):

    (instructions are on my blog).

And on Tuesday they made willow "Fish Mobiles". Here's mine:

No instructions for this one I'm afraid! They were quite tricky to make and I sort of ended up making them by accident! :p The kids kept asking me for help and I had to send them off to the teacher as I didn't really know what I was doing either! :D

They look really pretty. What is the material you have at the side of the dresser, tablecloths?

Kisto: they are fabulous. If I can find some willow, I'm definitely going to do this with my kids. Thank you.

    Thanks Mollymop.

Are you me??? :p:D It's great isn't it!
I've been volunteering (3 afternoons) for two years now too. I definitely love it more than the kids. There are times when I'm sure I should be 'helping' with the activity rather than 'doing' the activity!! :p:D:D

A lovely way to store them, instead of putting them in a drawer like me, mind you mine usually only come out if we get company.

I think I read somewhere today that it's considered bad form to quote yourself so please don't all shout at me. I thought I'd better explain a photo with no message.

I was trying out my recently received camera. also trying to get to grips with photobucket (still am) and showing my cheapie flowers from Wilkinsons, a bunch on one stem for £1.50 and I took some off and still have lots left, also my junk shop 'vase' and bottle and the shoes were a Christmas trimming:D

Now you all probably would have preferred just the photo :D
