Just a big thank you ladies. I have gleaned so much inspiration & so many ideas from you all and have re-awakened my creative drives big time!!
I have dusted off an old singer sewing machine mum gave me years ago and cant bear to leave the house to go to work now it seems - I just want to spend my days sewing :rotfl:
Anyway, every year my mum has a charity event on the farm in aid of different local charities - last year it was the RNLI for which we raised about £450. This year the chosen charity is 'Ellies Haven' a new childrens hospice planning to open soon near Looe in Cornwall http://www.ellies-haven.org.uk/
We do the normal tea & cakes, nice bric a brac, raffle, books etc but thanks to you guys there will also be quite an array of shabby stuff too!!
Not sure that these lil fellas are good enough to sell (which I am secretly quite pleased about...:o )
Have fixed these onto a length of ribbon now to hang down a door or similar...
This one is truly random... Was thinking of gingerbread men when I started...:rotfl:
More inevitable hearts...
We are also having a Christmas table this year (even thought its in July!!)which has opened up a whole new range of ideas
So thank you again, I still have 13 weeks (actually 12 cos the last week is reserved for cleaning & baking!) so will keep you all up to date with any other stuff that gets made.
Hmmm, sorry about size of pics...:oPiggypoints - 207+£10 * Quidco - £95 * Tesco - 1095 * Sainsbugs - 4237I SHALL be debt free!!!!!:D

thank you so much for posting these. I was trying to find a fabric heart tutorial this morning - I typed everything I could think of into google, and failed to find anything at all (lots of postcard tutorials came up!) and went off feeling quite dispirited. This has really inspired me, and I'll be trying something similar out because of your post. It just always helps seeing something done for a klutz like me who's bad at visualising the end product. Huge thanks!
Vintagepleasure: I love the cabinet. I can't wait to see how it looks after painting. What a bargain!
ps: I love the other things you have made as well. I think you will do really well with the sale. Yes please, do post more pics.

I remember Anne McKevitt and Tessa Shaw on 'Home Front'. Does anyone else?
Gosh, yes I remember them! Ann had very long nails and I could never understand how she managed to paint etc:eek: It must be years since those programmes were on, I didn't often like her designs I'm afraid:o We've loads of people on this thread who should be given their own tv programmes!:T0 -
