Thanks for all your comments re the Craig and Rose paint I bought. But I think I panicked. Harry did another coat on the bottom section of the dresser last night land it looked much better . But when we got home this evening, I shook the paint up and it seems much better. Obviously needed a more thorough mixing up than just a stir. Have given some of it another coat and will see if it needs any more on those bits. Pictures of the dresser, painting in progress - here

Thanks Ellidee......I'm so glad the paint is now ok as I loved the colour. In fact OH has just gone out to see if he can get some more for me.

I went out today for a little stroll! Narberth is packed with antiques shops and had a nice browse and wished prices were cheaper - hey ho! But went to a place id never stpped in before, like a house clearence place but think they calle themselves antique dealers too! But prices are good. i got a dressing table mirror, been after one for ages but this is a generous size and at £9 i was happy. Then i spotted a lloyd loom padded storage box....ideal for in the hall for kids to sit on and fill with shoes. Got it for £11, cant wait to play with it tonight! lloydloom.jpg

    Has anyone painted lloyd loom?
    Any tips for painting wicker?!

I think spraying would give a better finish, it's just finding a good colour in a spray! Also, don't want to seem like a know it all:o but, did you know that lloyd Loom is not wicker? it is made of paper wrapped around wire or something.

If its paper, I suppose its quite important not to get it too wet!

I used 2 parts emulsion / 1 part water. It was thin enough not to clog up the holes and as Lloyd Loom is paper wrapped round wire, it soaked into the paper quite well too. I did it years ago, but if memory serves it needed a couple of coats.

Clutterfree..... I think that the teaset you are talking about it by Colclough (or it might be called Colcough Bone China)..... I found some on ebay... same seller is selling in all colours:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Colcough-cup-saucers-sandwich-plate_W0QQitemZ150227542873QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item150227542873

Thanks Facepainter, it was so kind of you to go out of your way and look for me but no, it wasn't as delicate looking as that and if memory serves me correctly, the colour was in the outside and the white/cream colour was on the outside.
It was more pottery than china, I think.
I'm am off to see my Mum tomorrow so shall ask her about it.
Thank you for your help, though.
