  • ive always used wilkos own satin or crowns satin paint when doing up furniture...normally in shades of antique white or moonlit white so its not too white and can tend to look a bit plastic then...
i have always had good results and the paint normally only costs about £6 good if you are on a budget..
but i have to be honest i am itching to use the F&B.. simply as the colours look sooo nice on the paint chart..
i was even dreaming about painting my kitchen cupboards in "bone" last night..how sad am i !!!

This looks fab! I'm desperate for something like this for in my teeny kitchen, any ideas where I can start looking for something like it?

Don't know where you are Kina but this one is lovely. If I had room I would bid myself. :D

I used Homebase quick drying satinwood on my kitchen cupboard doors and it looks great. Were painted over 4 years ago and have had no problems with chipping etc . Also didn't prime or undercoat first
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

And this would be great in a utility room.

Not sure I could bring myself to paint this one though.

Have finally got a dresser off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180221591376&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008

Can't wait to get it and then decide what colour to paint it

Much as I'd like to try the f & b paint to paint my dresser, being on a tight budget I think I'll have to go for something not so expensive.

Can anyone recommend any paints that they have used - preferably water based and as quick drying as possible? Hope you can help!

cat i used Craig & Rose paints from B&Q for my dresser etc....the paint dries really quickly and it was lovely to use! :)

You don't need or have room for it in your utility room!

I know you.....believe me you would find a reason to paint it! :p

I don't think you're username is awful at all and it's always good to dream! I must admit I sometimes read it as icecream or as "I candy" :D

That looks stunning. Brilliant job. :T :T
I live in a private rent and I'm not even allowed to change from the magnolia on the walls. I'd love to do something like this if I had my own home though.
You can do something similar on a large canvas. That way you can take it with you too.
Au Naturale sell them fairly cheaply.
