Thanks Rosy re the F&B: I didn't know that. I'll take a look at their papers.

Well, what on earth has this thread done to me. I went to the scout's jumble sale this afternoon...
    and came away with...
    dcp5087ph3.jpg
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I can do huge images or tiny images. Can't seem to get them inbetween. :confused:Sorry.
Plus an old (full size) wire mannequin which needs something crafty done to it (this is becoming a little hobby of mine).
Then went and bought the Dimity, to try on the sewing box, and see what I thought for our woodwork. £13.50  No sample cards: just gone by the pics posted and what you have all said. Thanks, again, VP. :j
ALL BECAUSE OF THIS THREAD! :rotfl:
Honestly, I would never have given the sewing box a 2nd glance a few weeks ago. As it was I had to keep my head down when I walked back along the high street to the car as I'm still not quite sure what's happening to me! :rotfl:
So now I've got to do:
    a patchwork wall
cupboards to blackboard (got the paint today with the dimity)
    a sewing box to paint
plus I'm gearing myself up to make the first pair of curtains I've ever made in my life.
    Phew!
(and I have millionaire's shortbread in the oven because of the grocery challenge!)

Thanks all. It feels good. x

Well done Icandream. Yes the F&B paint is expensive, but I can assure you it goes a LONG way!

  • Blimey you lot I only went to work for 3 hours this morning and 3 pages of very exciting shabby chic...ing going on.

facepainter....PAINT the dresser....+ I love the blue china is it Johnson Bros...do you like spode english lavender as well? I am very into Woods at the mo, esp beryl

    haribo...cupboard looks great

icandream...woohoo another addict fab sewing box can't wait to see the pics...

and did someone mention a shed???? I love sheds they are my shoe addiction I have 4 (although 1 has been nicked for mountain biking stuff) now and am planning a much bigger one to replace my current studio.....they are the best esp when you dont allow ANYONE else in them they don't get messed up like the rest of the house and you get to sip tea and gaze at the garden!!

and I sent off for details of the London wallpaper collection on the little greene paint website & they sent me a big (£4.50) handpainted card & an order for for paper samples 6x A4 so my order will be winging its way to them on Mon.
I also got some great fabric samples from Elanbach Fabrics (Laura Ashley's daughters comp) & Sandberg sent me some from Sweden very prompt service that took 2 day from my email. Good sizes great for little projects.
    simplicity is key
