  • hiya everyone

well ive been sat working out my new kitchen layout, im going to take down my wall cupboards and put up shelves, but the ones i wanted to get from ikea still means they work out at about £79 as i need four, two on either side of the cooker

this means my kitchen will work out to end up costing about £533 .. and im only replacing 3 doors and worktop and sink eeeeeeeek!!!

just wondered on your travels through ebay and the likes if you've come across any shabbychic type wall shelves that wont cost loads and would look nice with my kitchenalia tins on and stuff..

i want a nice kitchen but i dont want to spend a lot !!!

I'm just like everyone else and tidy up before I take a photgraph. ;) It's very lived in believe me. I am quite tidy but I assure you it doesn't look perfect all the time. For instance at the moment the kitchen is covered in crepe paper and glue as we're easter bonnet making. The washing is on the airer in the laundry room, the girls' rooms are bombed and there is a huge pile of ironing on my bed. :D I don't care though as I'm [strike]having a large gin and tonic.[/strike] very relaxed :p

Your children will not remember that the ironing was not done, but they WILL remember that you made Easter bonnets with them:A

Have you thought about the top have of a dresser that could be mounted on the wall. Perhaps put a 'wanted' add on freecycle.
    simplicity is key

    Edited to add....

Actually on rereading your post I really hope you don't think I would post pictures to make anyone envious.icon9.gif I would never presume that anyone would be. It has just been nice to share my pictures with like minded people. And it is lived in and happy, and tidy some of the time. ;)

Hee-hee, 'course I don't!! I'm pulling your leg!! Bless ya! From what I have read, I don't think you would be capable of being like that. You seem like a genuinely lovely person. x

FWIW, I love your home and am getting loads of [STRIKE]ideas to pinch[/STRIKE] inspiration from your piccies :D

Feeling really annoyed at the moment because the fabric I bought on ebay to cover my conservatory chairs is smaller than advertised. I bid for a piece 3.9 metres long and its actually only 2.8 metres...........

You will be entitled to return it in this case I believe, if it has been misrepresented.

Love the pictures. Your daughters room is very pretty Ebaybaby.

Haribo - why do you need so many mirrors? Mirror, mirror on the wall :D

    They look lovely. :p
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
