Hi everyone.
Im still following this thread with great interest and love everyones photos and ideas, but I havent had much time to post on here. Been just getting a few minutes sneaky fixes when I should be packing for our move. Get the keys to our new home on friday and will start the decorating on saturday! I'll take before and after pics, but it will only be the kitchen shabby chic/shaker/country cottage/mishmash lol for now anyway.0 -

Afternoon Girls......are you ready for today's charity shop haul.....can you tell I am very excited all over a plastic tray that cost me 50p.....you see what happens when your husband goes to work in Germany for 4 days and leaves you the car!!! It shouldn't be allowed
right here it is........ta da
My beautiful plastic rose tray straight out of a Cath Kidston book...can you imagine how I skipped around the rest of the warehouse!!! Then I found the vintage wallpaper, then some more meleware/gaydon cups for the camper van + the cute egg cups to match the napkin rings I found the other day. I love Age Concern, they are the best charity shops in my area...no posh shops, decent prices & outrageous volunteers!! Love themxxx
I've decided to share my good fortune with everyone and will be covering a note book with some lovely paper for a giveaway so keep your eyes peeled on my blog.xxx
Hope everyone else is having a fabulous shabby chic daysimplicity is key0 -
Went to my fave flea market last week and got this cute little sewing basket, never took a pic of the before (sorry) but it had like a reed vinyl top. I decided not to paint the wicker as I quite liked it natural.
Not bad for A QUID!!!!!!!!! YES A QUID!!!!!!!!!!
My seven yr old has nabbed it for her "sewing"!
The other pics are of my daughters room,I was lucky enough to get the Primark bedding, (£15 a throw) rather than the £60 a throw Laura Ashley ones I usually have on (yes I know £60 but it was before I joined MSE!)
Also some Liberty Bunting I got from a new friend on here!!!
And the final one is an ottoman I covered a few yrs ago now!0 -

That room is just beautiful BEAUTIFUL! and the sewing basket is cute too.0 -
Ebaybaby that sewing basket is fab!!! I don't blame your daughter for claiming it!!!!
I'll say yet again....I wish I had a girl!!!! Oh what I would do to a little girlie bedroom!!!! Its ok when they are little but once boys get older their bedrooms are about as far from shabby chic as it gets!!!!
Our bedroom and spare room are going to get the pink treatment!!! But I want a white wrought iron day bed to 'dress up' and OH not keen - he reckons not practical for guests....PAH!!! Who needs practical!!0 -

Hey girls i am an avid fan of shabby chic and will post pics of my room soon but for now i want to show you these gorgeous enamelware pots and pans i've been drooling over they are pricey but oh so gorgeous!!
you can get them from cucinadirect prices start from £9.95!!0 -
I'm finding this thread a bit surreal at the mo, I had 2 lloyd loom laundry baskets and a lloyd loom chair - all bought secondhand in the late 70's - and I was really glad to be rid of them!
I remember when gaydon ware first came out too; I was working in a shop and we were trying to impress a potential customer and I said 'its absolutely unbreakable you know, really tough stuff' and I dropped a mug on the floor - and the handle came off! no sale obviously but you cant win them all!
Love that tray Rachel! and the sewing box ebaybaby!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
