  • Hi Guys!

I love Folk Art and Americana stuff. We have loads of stuff collected over the past few years and I buy generally from the USA through Ebay or when we go over. I also collect Boyds Bears in my teddy glass cabinets but most are in old fashioned folk arty gear.

I'd love to join this thread. Just covered some junk shop find (but good) old kitchen chairs with some fabric I already had - really pleased with the result. Its amazing what a bit of paint and a staple gun can achieve!...

Have also been lucky enough to be given some lovely pieces by friends/relatives again they needed a bit of TLC and a think about how to use them. ...

Thats half the fun isnt it? looking at something and seeing beyond the obvious, and of course its recycling which is always good! ;)

Viv, I've bookmarked that blog for later, it looks good, thank you!

P-P I love folk art too, any chance of a photo please? I know this is the shabby chic thread but its interesting and useful to look at all styles! :)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D
