The third one is possibly my favourite. OH is worried about the pen marks and how deep they are. Also not too sure about the plain top and don't think its as solid as the first two.
    Its so difficult to decide
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

thanks....i havent got room for a chalkboard as such, so i am going to paint the side of the end wall unit...

i should imagine the kids might even paint the inside of their bedroom doors with it as well ..no room for a chalk board on their walls.... as their are covered in posters of cars..bikes..... bands.. and half naked women... flashing their boobs...

pmsl my oldest is only 11 so none of that yet thankfully! :rotfl: the other 3 boys are still into spiderman and cars so a little way to go yet! However i did mention how cool it would be to have one bedroom wall in blackboard paint and they all agreed and are now badgering me to do each bedroom but we are moving shortly and im not sure new owners would appreciate it as much as my boys would! :rotfl:

OK - hands up - I want to put some pics onto a site and link it so people can look if they would like to. I've tried flickr and picasar - problem is I cant get it to let people look without giving them to option to add captions or delete the pics!

I know many people on here have done it, so I would GREATLY appreciate a 'how to' reply.

    Thanks

was thinking of getting this type of shelf for my kitchen. .take down my wall cupboards and put two of these up instead.. they would run along the whole of my wall space as they are 190cm,
    what do you think ??
we are saving up for new wooden worktops and the inset white sink from ikea aswell.. so the wood look shelves would match the worktops, or do you think they would look messy????
I love my open shelves and they are from IKEA too.Just make sure they can hold the weight of what you waht to put on them though.I had to replace the supports for mine!
