You need Trinny rather than Susannah then!

I'd go for the third one too BUT I would double-check measurements to make sure it fits in its intended home. I'm sure you will have done that!0

This has to be the lovliest post I have read today
I think it is good that you have been given motivation, there is no point dwelling on what we have not got in life and how much debt we are in as what is done is done you can only act upon making things better and cherish what you have around you (even if that includes untidy, lazy men)!
This style of decorating is ideal for those on a tight budget and that is why I love it so much, I would rather stick pins in my eyes than go and spend £500 on a coffee table at one of the big furniture stores :rotfl:
When you have done your before and after photos, you can then dejunk too if that is an issue, it is amazing what you may have lurking that you can sell on Ebay to make some money or turn into something else and for those hard to get rid of items try freecycle, someone will make good use of your items.
Make the local car boot sales and flea markets your local furniture store, take a good look at what you need in your house. Go armed to these sales with measurements and a list of needs so that if you do find something you know exactly where to put it and how much space you have. Make sure you check newspapers for upcoming events in your area.
Most importantly with shabby style don't be scared to make or do something just because it will not turn out perfect, this style is not supposed to represent mass produced templates of exact same styles.
Even more importantly have fun and enjoy creating a lovely home to live in!
oooo thanks.... but i really am gratefull for you starting this thread.....i am soo busy in work at mo.. havent had time to even put clothing on ebay let alone the junk in the house....
the most expensive thing is paint.... it will take me a while to 'dress' the kitchen so to speak, but that will come in time when the weekend carboots start....but i am sure by the time i start de-junking... i will find things i had forgotten about...lol... i am a total hoarder....and i otally hate putting anything in the bin that still has a use or can be adapted for something...
i have had 'blitz' in the past, but not near enough to make a big differance..
maybe the kitchen will get me in the 'mood'.....Work to live= not live to work0 -

I'm really angry with myself because I missed the end of one that finished on Sunday and it only went for £20......0
