nomoney i haven't any room for a dresser even though i have been watching some on ebay. I compromised and am going to put this on the wall between 2 cupboards and above the worksurface. Just won it on ebay, still waiting for the seller to contact me though. The buy it now was £75 so i got a bargain. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260213920479&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=016
I love that!! Well done! only prob is i have fitted cupboards right along the walls too so unless i take one of those down i wudnt have room for one of those either!
Im just gonna have to move!!!0 -
After looking at the F&B website I must say Im utterly shocked by this: http://www.farrow-ball.com/productdetails.aspx?pid=AFCC0000&cid=PG&language=en-GB £8.50 for something I picked up for free when in Homebase!0

I agree, it is expensive but it is not what you would get in homebase. These cards are actually hand painted with the actual paint so you can see the true colour. It is not just a printed colour chart like dulux etc. Also, it might be cheaper that buying sample pots.0

Thank you all so much. This is a great feeling having friendly advice.I think I will take a trip into the F&B shop when I am in Edinburgh and have a look there. Rachelleblondel, that is good advice re pigments.I have quite a lot of light as it is open plan but BF painted his Dining room in F&B blue and the softness is great. I might invest in the shade chart as eventually will be doing the whole house. I have country cottage aspirations (fingers crossed), but stuck with my small modern semi for now.0

juliettet someone on this thread recommended 'Soft White' By Crown the other day. Might be worth a look ?Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I will Elliedee thanks. After living so long in magnolia houses I feel although white is still neutral it will show my shabby stuff off better. I meant to ask rachelleblondel does the paint clean ok? No children, but 4 cats and a BF with a black Labrador most w/ends!0

hi everyone!
have been lurking on here for a while - love all your stuff/ideas and well impressed with your creativity! I am shabby chic aspirational but OH not ...
Am slowly sneaking in bits so one day will come together and he won't have noticed! Would looove a dresser but no room and think that OH might notice that one!
Anyways was on ebay earlier and found this:
:heartpuls :smileyheabut.....
the matching dinner set has already been sold!
I haven't been successful with googling pink chintz - which is what it is described as either. Have emailed the seller to ask if anymore but am kicking myself as it was relisted and only sold a day or so ago!
Thought I would ask on here if anyone seen it before and where to get hold of a dinner set? Fingers crossed!:D
Thanks and yes I am watching a couple of gorgeous pine dressers local to me! :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I tried the once paints and found i had to do 2 coats so i stay away from those now as its sometimes cheaper to go for a better paint than twice the amount of once! :rotfl:
I would recommend dulux White Cotton in rich matt or Regency White by 1829 (craig & rose) both are not stalk white and are more of a warmer shade0 -

i think it depends on the paper too - with mine being on new walls over the top of patterened paper it took two coats as you could still see the pattern through, only lightly but i knew it was there and being a perfectionist it would have annoyed the heck out of me even if others couldnt see it! :rotfl:Win £2012 in 2012 challenge 0/2012
