Not exactly money saving but money raising - and it won't cost you a penny.
Please, please will all my friends vote for 'Oldies Club' (elderly dogs who are homeless because of the death of their owner, or owner is in care and dog is not allowed to be re-homed with them). It's a competition which can be accessed via facebook, twitter and google (so if you have one of each account - vote 3 times for the Oldies Club).

A few clicks from you and your friends could make £900 difference to a charity that supports very elderly dogs.

Hi Cuddles123, and anyone else who checks this post out.
Angel came home with us :-))))).
She played happily in the paddock at the rehoming kennel with my little crew, and slept soundly in the car for the 80 mile trip back. She's even eaten well which is often not the case on the first night with greyhounds.
Right now she's pottering in the garden with the others, and I think its all going to be just fine.
Without your post I wouldn't have known she existed, and she might have waited a while longer (the black hounds with grey faces get overlooked a LOT).
Bless your heart, and a big thank you from Angel, her new sis and two new bro's and me! XXX0 -

I was intrigued by this post, so did a search for Cuddles123 and found this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/65661529#Comment_65661529

Thank you! You're so right - the oldies definitely have something special about them - I think maybe because they wait longer they appreciate finally having a home a bit more. I'm a bit sad really and freely admit that my life revolves around my dogs :-).
Also - apologies for any confusion - this subject was originally part of an ongoing thread on Old-Style, and made perfect sense there, but for some reason it was moved to The Knitters Thread (I'm new here so can't for the life of me see the logic there???) - a previous poster on this thread seemed a bit put out so I am really sorry. I don't even know if Cuddles123 got to see it. Note to self - brush up on form rules and procedures before posting again :-).0 -
Houndmum - really great to read your message, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I hope you don't think it was me that was put out? It's just that this appeared as a standalone post in the forum and it had me confused!
I thought that if I did a little research it might prevent someone reporting it as spam.0 -

Hi Mrsdwhite - no, not at all! Someone sent me a message to my email asking me if I felt there might be a more appropriate place to put my post rather than randomly clogging a thread.
I was glad that you took the trouble to do what you did, as I thought it might improve the chances of someone perhaps letting Bubbles123 know there was a message for her, so thank you! As it had been moved, she might have just looked at the original place and thought I'd not bothered.
