morning allIt was in the Telegraph. I think watching someone knitting would be more interesting than watching snooker -or darts -and certainly more interesting than cricket!
mines a doer not a watcher, hes outside at the mo doing insanity fitness workout he doesnt watch any sports.
started my 'christmas jumper' last night, i havent done one before but was tempted by the snowflake pattern on that free link i posted.

Looking for ideas - I am helping stock a craft stall at our local primary school fair. Have been knitting small tree decoration stockings with a small bar in them, also have bought cheap mugs and am knitting wraps for them and putting in a satchet of cappucino and some chocolate.
Any ideas what other quickish things I could make .... please ..... Tried a small snowman - but when I stuffed it and sewed it up my own kids killed themselves laughing0 -

I've been busy doing baby hats - VERY quick and very little yarn. Great for de-stashing small amounts of yarn. Plenty of really cute FREE patterns on Ravelry. Customers go mad for cute baby things.
If you do socks - bedsocks would sell - I'm amazed at how many young people complain of cold feet in bed. Acrylic DK is fine for these.
Ravelry also has good patterns for toys, dish/face cloths, mobile phone socks, tablet sleeves, spectacle cases, knitting needle or crochet hook cases, ear-warmers, wrist warmers, mittens, head bands, fingerless mitts, tiny teddies, dolls clothes, children's or adult Santa hats, etc etc.
Knit a few of these and you'll be stashless... thank goodness for January Sales! :rotfl:Needs, NOT wants!

I find neckwarmers and cowls are very useful for keeping warm indoors - no c/h or d/g! (Good in bed too, if one likes the window open - no stiff neck in the mornings.)
I will be sending off the baby things for my first grandbaby this week, so I'm hoping to find a little time to knit myself some Winter Warmers, at last. Still have to START :eek: my Christmas knitting, but have sorted out some nice hat patterns and the rest will be getting socks, which, thankfully, are pretty mindless.
Glad to see there's not a lot of posting here - obviously, everyone is knitting furiously! :rotfl:
