It was in the Telegraph. I think watching someone knitting would be more interesting than watching snooker -or darts -and certainly more interesting than cricket!

mines a doer not a watcher, hes outside at the mo doing insanity fitness workout he doesnt watch any sports.

started my 'christmas jumper' last night, i havent done one before but was tempted by the snowflake pattern on that free link i posted.

    hope all are well

Looking for ideas - I am helping stock a craft stall at our local primary school fair. Have been knitting small tree decoration stockings with a small bar in them, also have bought cheap mugs and am knitting wraps for them and putting in a satchet of cappucino and some chocolate.
Any ideas what other quickish things I could make .... please ..... Tried a small snowman - but when I stuffed it and sewed it up my own kids killed themselves laughing :(

I've been busy doing baby hats - VERY quick and very little yarn. Great for de-stashing small amounts of yarn. Plenty of really cute FREE patterns on Ravelry. Customers go mad for cute baby things.

If you do socks - bedsocks would sell - I'm amazed at how many young people complain of cold feet in bed. Acrylic DK is fine for these.

Ravelry also has good patterns for toys, dish/face cloths, mobile phone socks, tablet sleeves, spectacle cases, knitting needle or crochet hook cases, ear-warmers, wrist warmers, mittens, head bands, fingerless mitts, tiny teddies, dolls clothes, children's or adult Santa hats, etc etc.

Knit a few of these and you'll be stashless... thank goodness for January Sales! :rotfl:

Thanks for this, mrs-moneypenny. Nice easy, quick knit. Good stashbuster, too. :D

I find neckwarmers and cowls are very useful for keeping warm indoors - no c/h or d/g! (Good in bed too, if one likes the window open - no stiff neck in the mornings.) ;)

I will be sending off the baby things for my first grandbaby this week, so I'm hoping to find a little time to knit myself some Winter Warmers, at last. Still have to START  my Christmas knitting, but have sorted out some nice hat patterns and the rest will be getting socks, which, thankfully, are pretty mindless.

Glad to see there's not a lot of posting here - obviously, everyone is knitting furiously! :rotfl:

Have a good day, girls and boys.
