It was in the Telegraph. I think watching someone knitting would be more interesting than watching snooker -or darts -and certainly more interesting than cricket!0 -
Has anyone seen the bit in today's papers about a Norwegian Knitting Programme ?
I heard about it on BBC Radio 4, bout lunchtime but didn't realise that it was being streamed.
I took part in one of these, with Derby WSD, in the '80s. We guild members sat all day in a shopping mall, spinning the fleece and knitting a man-size jumper - about a dozen of us. We started about 07:30 and had the jumper finished about 12 hours later. It was knitted flat, in the days before knitting top-down, so it had to be sewn together, too. Terrific fun, but tiring!
Managed to stream it - oh, it does take me back!
I would happily watch it all day, too.
