Continuing the theme of finishing things off, here is my Spicy Cowl. The original pattern had it slightly longer to pull up as a snood, but seeing as I have just made a snood, and actually prefer cowls mine is a cowl ;)

This was one of those times when washing and gentle blocking really made a difference in opening the pattern up!

    Wow thats lovely! Well done.

Can anyone help with some budget yarn suggestions for a pattern I've got? It calls for 415 yds of super bulky wool, knitted on 12.75 and 15mm needles, over a tension of 6 st and 8 rows over 10cm, (ideally in purple) I'm doing my head in trying to find something that is exactly right, but am open to suggestions of how to use something that knits to a different gauge by using different sized needles.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Does anyone have or know where i can get a free pattern for a v neck baby cardigan, it has to be an easy knit, as i'm very new to knitting and would love to be able to knit a cardigan for my first grandchild due in june. It's a lovely picture seeing a new born baby in a hand knitted garment.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated

    Seconded

Ravelery, which is free to join, is such an amazing resource. Hundreds of free patterns that you can easily search and some of the friendliest most helpful forums (just like this one ;)).

Red-boxer, I have made these cardigans for my bump - they were both pretty easy although the sleeves are done in the round using double pointed needles (if you've never done it before it's really not that hard!).

Lovely cowl OS, nice colour for this time of year.
I spent about 3 weeks casting on over 200 stitches by the i-cord method and knitted a few rounds, I've just picked it up to carry on and my knit pro needle has snapped off at the join and I've lost a load of stitches, had to unpick it all :(
Don't think I've got the heart to do it all again.
