I wish wool sellers would show us what a wool looks like when its knitted - just a gauge sample would do, I find it almost impossible to imagine what its going to look like, especially some of the tweed or randomized yarnsPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Know what you mean - especially self-patterning yarns.
Best thing I've found, is to find the yarn on Ravellery, and look at the projects that others have knitted. Also has the advantage that you can find out if there's a problem with the yarn from the comments.0 -

For all the folk looking for patterns can I suggest you join ravelry?
It is free to join and you can search, fixing all sorts of parameters (e.g. yarn weight, age group) as well as just typing in words such as scarf, jumper etc.
TBH I think that is how most of us find a lot of patterns.
Not meaning to be cheeky, but really have a go, it isn't hard.
On the making front, I have been crocheting a lot recently, though started a snood for myself last night, early days but I like the way it is going.

Can you help??
What is best way of sticking felt shapes onto crochet item? I'm trying to attach the eyes, mouth etc on a crocheted animal and used bondaweb but they are now peeling off. Dont think it would look right to sew on so really need to glue. Apparently hot glue gun is not good idea and dont think PVA will do job either.
Any ideas??
Hope you dont mind answering crochet question on knitting forum but they will need same technique for this.Home Schooling mum budgeting for 2 adults, 2 teens, 2 little ones & 3 cats
