Just to finish the animals and the inn keeper on my crochet nativity too, then start a blankie, then back to knitting socks ;).

Awaiting its bobble - a christmas present for my nutty daughter in law who loves sheep!!!

My first attempt at knitting 'in the round' and realised why single piece needles aren't designed for it and double pointed needles are.... Never mind, got there in the end.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

    Hello
Does anyone know where I can get a snowman motif child's sweater pattern which uses chunky wool - nothing much on ebay right now.
    Thanks

Does anyone have any hints for getting the tension of the 'carried over' yarn when knitting Fair Isle style patterns please? as you can see from the above, my tension is too tight, causing wrinkles.

    Found the following on knittingdaily.com

"You have to keep even tension throughout the project without any of the dreaded puckering. (I've found the simplest way for me to avoid the pucker is to spread out the stitches on your right needle every inch or so. You don't have to spread them too far apart, just far enough to make sure your tension is even and not pulling too much in one color or the other.)"

Want to make a pair of mittens for my 10 month old. Have looked at ravelry but have only knitted socks in the round following Silver's tutorial and doing mittens in the round is making it feel daunting. I'm a moderate knitter so it shouldn't be phasing me too much but don't seem to have as much patience if things go wrong.

Does anyone know a relatively easy pattern I could use?

Google for two needle mitten patterns and you get quite a few options eg:
