I have not been on this thread for a while, as mainly crocheting. Plan to add more pics to the crochet (nativity) on ravelry later today, if anyone fancies a look :).

Finally finished my second Owls jumper, only 11 months in the making, bit of a bodge job as I put two patterns together but it fits so that's the main thing.

At some point I'd like to knit this.. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tortoise-and-hare-sweater
But I've never done any colour work or anything before, does anyone know of any simpler projects to practice it?

I think I'd be tempted to just knit the pattern repeat...

Had a custom made order to make....a nose warmer to go with matching fingerless mitts! No, I didn't know they existed either. Made up my own pattern for a little mousie.

I would if I could make head or tail of it, it's all Greek to me!
I think I need to remember my knitting ambitions don't quite match my skill :o

    That's adorable PenniB.

Want to make a pair of mittens for my 10 month old. Have looked at ravelry but have only knitted socks in the round following Silver's tutorial and doing mittens in the round is making it feel daunting. I'm a moderate knitter so it shouldn't be phasing me too much but don't seem to have as much patience if things go wrong.

Does anyone know a relatively easy pattern I could use?

Does anyone have any hints for getting the tension of the 'carried over' yarn when knitting Fair Isle style patterns please? as you can see from the above, my tension is too tight, causing wrinkles.

Just to finish the animals and the inn keeper on my crochet nativity too, then start a blankie, then back to knitting socks ;).
