I wonder if anyone can tell me where to buy woven labels for hand knitted garments.Im making Xmas presents and the ones Ive seen seem quite expensive.
    thanks in advance

    Did you find these?

£9.95 for 36 labels seems quite reasonable to me. And the standard delivery charge is only 99p.

Has anyone here tried the wool from China sold on Ebay? Is it good, bad, or what? It seems such a good price and with my hubby being so tall his jumpers require quite a bit of yarn weight. At the same time I don't want to use something that it is going to grow "fuzz balls" (I know this is not the right term but I'm tired today) after a couple of months.

No, but thanks for the heads up - some of the hand dyed wools on Ebay.co.uk look lovely.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

My Dr goes on maternity leave soon, and has been such a great support over the past year, I wanted to give her a little something.

Pattern came from Ravelry - Oh! Baby Baby Booties

    love them x

Regia Design Line sock lands in your shopping basket at a rather ridiculous £1.15 per ball at The Black Sheep.

I have used all sorts of yarn fibres and weight (eta though high wool content), and have found the key to be some sort of ribbing in the band, allows it to stretch as needed on your head but return to shape too.
If you look on my ravelry page (OrkneyStar, and you will need to join ravelry if you haven't already, it's free) you will see a few of the headband pics, to check this is the style you mean. There are loads of free patterns on ravelry too (https://www.ravelry.com).

    Any of these any use?
(you'll need to join ravelry if you haven't already).
I searched for wristwarmers and filtered for knitted, free, and worked flat (two needles).
