I am planning to send mine to Loving Hands Charity Knitters, the person who originally wrote the pattern has been involved with them.
I used cheapy Poundstretchers Streamers, given to me by my mum.

I have a ball of Sirdar Snowdrops chunky and want to make a little preemy blanket with it (about A4 size)

I can't see a pattern anywhere, but really just need to know how many stitches i might need to CO with this yarn?

Looks good Orkney - what is it to be used for?

I used cheapy Poundstretchers Streamers, given to me by my mum.

Never seen any yarn in Poundstretchers here!

Definitely Poundstretchers, have seen yarn in most of the Scottish ones I have visited. The rainbow yarn for my potato chip scarf was also purchased there, at 99p per ball.
The nest is to be sent to Loving Hands, who pass them on to charities who use them for baby animals/birds.

Poundstretcher has a good selection of yarn for sale around here, but in some of the stores it is stuck in the back ot the store rather than displayed nicely.

probably best to just work it out by doing a tension square, then working out the number of stitches to get the size you want. Just a thought though - chunky yarn and tiny babies may not be the best combination, and a chunky blanket could be very warm.
